I can't seem to find the version on mine, but it's the same one I cook in the ROMs and it works fine. What's not working about it?

Flashed back to 6.5 beta this morning. I couldnt't stomach 6.5.x for too long. Now that i see your post about the RSS mods, I will flash back the HYBRID and try the RSS mod and post screenies for ya ! THEN , will wait for the 6.5 Update with RSS i guess :protest:

has anyone encountered any issues with the twitter app not allowing access? I was able to log in fine but after about a week it suddenly stopped and won't allow me back in. it keeps telling me that i may have entered an incorrect username/password. i am using the sprint cht v1.1

tonight i plan to flash to one of the multi-carrier roms tonight to resolve the mms from albums issue, but wanted to know what cab to use for sprint tv. with the FIBA championships going on, i'd like to be able to watch when available.

I've had that Twitter error in the past. I'm glad you brought that up. Yesterday and today I've been getting an "This account if forbidden access... something something something. Anyone else getting that?

As far as your error message, like I said, I've gotten that before randomly sometimes for as long as a couple of days. The first time I looked online about it and found a bunch of people having the same thing and went on Twitter on my PC and they were having issues there as well. So, I've chalked it up to Twitter problems. I can't see how it could related to my ROM.
LOL, I'll be releasing it soon, probably this weekend sometime. Some memory issues might remain (if you were one of the ones who was having them). Still working on that...

Twitter has long announced that they'd switch to the new authentication method called OAuth which would be more secure. The problem with the old method was that applications had to store your user name and password in order to access Twitter so the new OAuth method will overcome this possible security flaw.

But together with this come the problems related to software that is not kept up to date to reflect and implement the new methods which are used as default now by Twitter. Unfortunately, HTC's Twitter client, Peep, is one of those apps that stopped working and imagine my surprise this morning when I wanted to check the tweets while drinking coffee and was presented with the screen attached. Hope HTC will release their updated version of the app as soon as possible since we know they don't want to lose any users in their Peep pool.

And guess what, moving from the HD2 to my Desire (in my desperate and naive attempt to read some news), I was surprised to find out that Peep for Android is facing the same problems, and it became clear to me that HTC has to make a move, quick!

Strange though that I managed to tweet from Peep some two hours ago!... - probably my last tweet from Peep for a while, hope it'll be short.

Bubble breaker = the file bubble breaker cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted cert. or one of its components cannot be found.

have you soft reset,every so often i have the issue with file explorer and other apps but a soft reset always fixes the issue,if you haven't installed another version i can confirm the version cooked in is working as i use it alot at work

I hadn't even thought about it yet, since I just found out about it. Most definitely I'll be cooking in a Twitter App! Anyone got a fav. Twitter apps or recomendations?? The one with the most mentions wins it as I don't Twitter much anyway.

Will you try to figure why some of us get locked on HTC screen. Since im not the only one now with this anomoly. I'm even willing to drive up to Raleigh to show u what its doing...lol. I love your rom that much. Every other rom i load doesn't do this... I'll even pm u my number to explain over the phone.

I will look into it and I will ask around, but I make no guarantees as it's near impossible to test out fixes for problems that do not exist on my phone.

With Earl coming, driving to Raleigh might be a good idea anyway. :)

Just out of curiosity, when it is stuck on HTC if you hit the Windows hard key, does it then sort of kick on the sense home screen? I seem to recall that happening to a rom I was on once. It would seem like it was hung, but if I hit the hard key for the start menu and then closed the start menu the home screen would be there.

Oh yeah, my bad that .cab was made for the older ROMs released before I fixed the issue. Maybe someone who's home can make a new one for you/everyone. If not, I'll make one later one when I get home that will work on the Hybrid and everyone elses ROMs. Sorry :(

or you can, just rename the files in the .cab to "classicblue_bubble_flag" and "classicblue_bubble_flag_disabled". Then they will work on the hybrid.

+1 on moTweets. ive used it before, and it seemed pretty solid. i havent tested it since the HTC Peep stopped working, tho. as long as its working with the new security stuff from Twitter, then moTweets is my vote!

In all seriousness, i wish we could add apps tabs, like Motweets instead of Peep. I don't like having to run MotWeets in the Background or accidently x out to get to the homescreen

Yeah, me too. I was thinking the same thing earlier today. It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard. I'm surprised that someone hasn't figured it out yet. It's way above my head though! I bet meltwater over at XDA could if anyone could...

You know I was thinking that... You can CAB. up just about anything right... Well can you CAB. up RSS or ZIP it. I remember loading a ZIP. file that went to the "home" in settings. It was for trans parent but... I know there's away to do RSS to show on home screen. I know it can be done, its almost seems like its simular to the weather on home screen. *JUST A THOUGHT*

If you use 2018 Home screen, like Bhars, I went in opera and loaded my info for twitter and copied the URL and went into the RSS feed bar on the home screen and went to set the feed manually and pasted the URL in and I had my twitter feed, you can set it to auto refresh, but I think 10 minutes is the smallest interval.
I use twitter more than that, almost as a chat room, so that will not take place of my twitter tab. I do get mobile sms updates, but not all of them come through like they are supposed to.:protest:



I have noticed that 90% of my manila mods for 2016 work on 2018, with the exception of CHT... Not too big a loss for me, just don't like the RSS feed on the home screen, especially that I can not control scrolling speed or what scrolls. I had numerous topics from PPCG, but only one article scrolled. Not useful to me.

2018 is cool,I'm running Cht 1.8.5.1 so RSS is gone. never really play with it, Just been reading alot of threads where people was was wanting both Rss & CHT

hello i was trying the st sprint rom because i'm tire of max sense and others roms all the time have something wrong and let me tell you the sprint roms they are fast nice and this is the rom I want a keep I just want a make some changes to make more memory and I let you know my progress thanks mister shark

Awesome! Thanks for trying out my ROM! Let me know what changes you make if they work to lower memory. I've been working on that issue of late. I have replaced some packages this evening and on my 6.5 ROM memory in use after boot up is considerably less. I'm think I'm on the right track...

If it's standard Sense and speed you're looking for you should also check out my Hybrid v2.0 ROM HERE. I will be releasing a Sprint version with the Sprint tabs soon.

First of all...your 6.5 rom is amazing and close to perfect(memory)
I would recommend maybe looking at bored rom, the amount of memory on each of his builds is considerably higher than any rom here, I am not sure how he accomplishes that but it is worth the try.

Also the BT signal and connectivity works better than any other rom.

I haven't had any problems with 2018 (GOOD WORK) and I don't use Twitter but the internet search bar works fine. And I'm running S2W glass theme and everything work good. No Bugs to report, I was quoting something you was talking about in another post. You ask me " Was the RSS HUB working on home screen" Someone elese answered you. But no it donKt work with CHT. And I was just giving " food for thought" wondering if some one can put RSS HUB in a cab to run with CHT on home screen. ( Not that I would use it) But it was just an thought.
