update...I used the htcRIE program from my pc to open the .nbh and deleted endkey.exe then reflashed. That was all I could find associated with the end key - couldn't find anything like "Long Press etc.". Anyway it STILL won't let me install the Anastasia app but it did let me install the johcos EndKey app. Don't know if this gives you anything else to go on.

Sharkie I have had some progress in my quest :)
It gets a little tedious posting everything twice on both threads so please refer to this LINK So the fire is now out! You may want to still figure out the reasons for this issue, but don't worry about me, it's all good now - MANY THANKS FOR HELPING WITH THIS :)

So you've got that app up and running normally then? I'm thinking about releasing my update today, but I'd like to get this fixed for you first, although I'm not quite sure how to yet. If you've got it working then I won't worry about it...for now.

Building them now. :) Of course, it will be a few hours before they're all uploaded.

6.5.X is still 23563. I've been having a little difficulty with getting different builds down exactly right, but that's what I'll be working on next.
6.5 is 21916.

I think I got the animated.gif worked out too!

In my eyes it is actually still a mystery why the one that worked, worked. According to the dev it is the same as the ones that didn't work, just with a diff skin, and less skins - keeping the size way down. But his other trimmed version DID NOT work. And after deleting all the ringtones/wallpaper I had gotten internal storage up to almost 100mb, so that theory doesn't really make sense to me. So I really don't know why this version ("Dic3ptor & Kurt" End-key) worked. The bottom line is it does, I LOVE your rom, and it is set up just the way I want now. My thoughts...if the peoples want update, let them have update :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Aight, so I've spent most of the day making stupid errors. So it's looking like it won't be until tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get them all built and uploading overnight. Assuming the upload doesn't F up for no apparent reason like they like to do sometimes, I'll put up the links early in the morning before I go to work.

thanks for the update........your rom is the only i can use 2.0 on based on how i use my phone so i can't wait for the update on both 6.5.5 and 6.5 :) gonna be up all night...........now im gonna be eager as hell for the morning lol,thanks for all your work and all you do for the community!!

What!!!!!!! That looks hot! I've thought about making one myself, but no one ever asked about it and I couldn't ever come up with one that I thought people would like. But Hells Yeah you can rock a SharkieROM sig bar!! It's good to see you into graphic design more these days too!

Working on editing the 1st post for v2.0. Should be up in about 15 min. or so!

Aight so v2.0 is up on the 1st post. I decided to go with a version 2.0 because I feel it's a significant step up from where my original v1.0 ROM was. It's got a new Sense, new Co0kie and all the things that I've fixed and worked on since my initial ROM release.

CHT 2.0 comes preloaded on the ROM. I've included CHT 1.8.5 in the \Cabs directory along with a disable RSS home tab feed (BIG thanks to Indagroove over at MobileUnderground.info for this!) if you like CHT v1.8.5 better. Make sure to run the disable RSS cab first, then install CHT v1.8.5 or your Home Tab will be screwy.

As always, when you're messing with Sense mods, DISABLE SENSE FIRST. While it's not always absolutely necessary, it's never a bad idea!

Home 2018 doesn't naturally show the Carrier Name on the Home Screen. For some reason I can't figure out how to use the tool that I need to use to edit the file that I need to edit to get the carrier name to show. It's something that I'm still working on. When I get it, I'll upload a .cab so you can have the carrier name show if you want. It someone already knows of a cab to do this, PLEASE post it up!
Although, I think that on 21916 the Carrier Name shows in the top taskbar. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn't. I'm not sure what's up with that. If someone knows a little more about that, please share.

You'll notice I added an animated.gif to this one. Be gentle on my .gif. I just learned how to make one yesterday and so it's not very good, but it was fun learning and I look forward to making better ones as I practice more. For the time being, I felt that it suited my needs. Hopefully it will be easily changeable. Let me know how this goes for you guys that like to change the animated.gif.

I had planned on skinning CHT some more, but I was having difficulty deciding what route I wanted to take with it. I didn't want to push back releasing the ROM anymore due to indecisive skinning. As you well know, there are many mods for CHT so you can skin it however you like.

Any .cabs that are prefaced with "SR" (Sharkie ReMiX) means that they have been altered in some way by me, whether it be something as simple as my preferred start menu placement (CHTEditor, for example) or switching out files and PNGs for my own (CHT, for example). So if you would rather have a "clean" version of said .cab, you can delete mine and use your own.

A note on 6.5 (21916)... I only ran this build for a few days. It seemed stable to me, but a few days isn't really enough time to judge especially since I flashed a couple of times during that. I've not heard anything negative about the build as of yet, so hopefully it's stable. If it's not, please let me know. I still have more work to do on my 6.5 theme, so forgive the fact that it can look incomplete at times. :)

Uummm.. I had much more to say, but I gotta get ready for work. I have to work all day so I won't be in the thread much. Have patience if you have issues. Hopefully there are none.

Downloaded and testing v2, 6.5x one hour in and great !
quickies, can vibrate be enable when typing ? can we change the keyboard theme back to stock ? and is there any auto lock when when backlight is off option ?

Vibrate when typing only: Settings>System>Touch Response-check "Vibrate on Touch", then from the advanced tab check "enabled only for on screen keyboard".

There's no way to remove the keyboard skin. You may be able to use your own EZInput cab instead. For future versions, I'll consider removing the skin. I thought about it this time, but figured I'd leave it alone for now.

I swear there used to be a setting somewhere that enabled the screen to automatically lock when put in sleep mode or the screen is off... But now I can't find it. It's possible that was a part of a package that I've removed. I hope not. I'll keep looking for it throughout the day. I feel like CHT has got to have that option somewhere as well. If I can't find it, I'll go through my kitchen later tonight when I'm home and see if I can figure it out.

ok first flash after xda uc was finished and soft reset i couldn't get to boot again,let sit for 30 min.,soft reset same thing,2nd flash i got all set up and used cht editor and shit got all mucked up something seriously,no mods installed pertaining to manila changes..........all i could get on the homescreen after that was a white box in top left corner,3rd flash all went well except it will not allow me to install any cab,doesn't ask whether to install to device or storage card,just fills the loading meter and says installation unsuccessful,tried after multiple soft resets same thing............im having a shitty day so im chalking this up to a crappy dl/flash or something...........never once have i had any kind of issues on your roms yet alone anything like this :spin: gonna download again and try again,and yes i task29 before every flash!! while i had it working it was the shizzle!!

so in saying that i will post a successful rom flash result later...........lol

Downloaded and flashed earlier today. Unlike Straitup27 have not had any issues what so ever. I do though run Task29 prior to flashing.

In a previous post you mentioned am issue with the carrier name not appearing on home screen. I have noticed that occasionally the carrier name will appear for a few seconds but then goes away.

Are you 6.5 or 6.5X and are you running CHT? Thanks for letting me know that you tried it out! Glad you're not having the issues Straightup was having.

CHT Editor>Lockscreen>Lock on Standby (turn on)>menu and apply changes and it will lock whenever the backlight goes off/on

Thanks to sh4d0w86 in a post over at MUI, I now have the file to enable the carrier name on the homescreen and I've learned how to use the tool I was having trouble with! So if anyone isn't using CHT and misses the Carrier Name on the home screen, I'll upload a fix for that tomorrow morning/afternoon sometime at the latest, perhaps tonight late, if I have time.

edit: well round 4 ended in a TKO for the rom.....i dunno man,i've downloaded 3 times,wiped and formatted the sd card,task 29 between each and even the ol' flash dance for shits and giggles,i had flashed back to 1.3 no issues after setup of cht 2.0,but after initial setup on this one upon second boot i can't get any function :scratch:

Have you tried flashing with the latest Verizon ROM? I was having issues with a flash a while ago, and doing that fixed it. Not sure why, though.

I loaded it up this morning, removed CHT and the only issue so far is the Camera. There is no widescreen, I turn it on and off and it still puts the pictures in a 4:3 resolution.

That sucks dude! If you havent gotten it by the time I get home later, I'll build another one and upload it. I dont see why it would make any difference, but it's worth a shot.

I just added in the HD mini lock screen. But since there is no carrier logo, I wish things could be shifted up a little to make it look more symmetrical

1 thing i did notice in the change log was mm task is @ v2.0 but i believe its now 2.2. not a big deal i can do the install just was letting you know (even thou it will prolly be an update by your next release)

I have MMTaskmanager set by default to "Load on Boot". This means that at boot it's already running and stays running in the background. Personally, I don't have any memory problems due to this, but you can uncheck the Load on Boot box and that might help. Or leave it removed if you don't use it :)

The one cooked in is version 2.2. I just made a mistake in the change log. It's been fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

The only bugs I've heard so far are the camera issues. I've fixed the "no touch-focus" and "no widescreen" problems with the camera.

I'm also using 6.5.X build 21681 (Thank you William_Fold). I've heard good things about this build from the guys over at the Collaboration thread. Even though I've only been running it for a bit, I'm going to go ahead and roll with it based on their advice.

I'm going to build and upload another 6.5.X ROM here shortly so that hopefully StraightUp can get this one up and running.

So if anyone has any other bugs they've noticed and have not yet reported (Why not?), go ahead and let me know now before I start uploading this next version...



Edit: SharkieROM 6.5.X v2.1 is uploading now. It'll be ready in a couple of hours. Changes? Camera fixed, WM Build 21681, new and better (IMO) CHT layout at boot (I realize this is the first thing that probably gets changed, but the new layout suits me much better).

Oh as a side note, I personally think the CHT softkey bar is a pain in the ass!!! I'm done with it.
