I'm still stuck on this damn facebook upating restarting Sense. I got 29017 all ready to go, but I can't releasing anything while this problem still exist.

Are you still trying to use Manila People from Oboe? If so, give a Manila People from Leo a try and see if it still happens.

No, I'm using the same People 2011 package that I've been using since forever... But, I'm sure your right in that it is a People's Tab issue since the Facebook tab just mirrors that and the problem also exist in the Peoples Tab sub-tab as well.

I've read a lot of this thread but didn't find an answer. I bought a TP2 that has the SharkieRom on it ... very cool!! I don't think it has the latest version because it still has the shark splash screen. Where can I find instructions on upgrading to the latest ROM (4.1.5) ... my phone is running Windows 6.5 Professional. TIA

hey so to upgrade it, just download the latest version of sharkies rom from the first post
after your got it downloaded, use 7zip or a similar file extractor to extract the contents of the file to your desktop.
it should make a folder

once thats done, open the folder and look for a file named :

Custom_RUU.exe

when you click on it, it might prompt a security threat risk, just ignore it and allow the action

after that it will open a screen that shows the touch pro 2 off to the left side and will have alot of step by step instrucions on the right.

its very simple to follow

your going to need to have your phone unlocked, wich im assuming it already is since it already has a flashed rom on it
your also going to need to have and acivesync softwear for your phone, you can find it with a simple google search
and your computer is going to need to have updated drivers for your phone, easiest way to do this is have it connected thruogh usb while the phone is off
it should install the newest drivers
after the drivers are installed, then open the application
and you should be golden

heres a youtube link to help you out a lil more incase youd like to watch it first
I highly recomend it

i used this video to learn to flash my first rom
just watch the vid and it should show you everything you need to know

oh and if your device is already unlocked, unlocking it again doesnt hurt anything
if anything, its better to try the unlocking process cause if this doesnt work, then flashing a ROM will entierly fail and could brick your phone.

to unlock, simply search google for the latest HardSPL for the CDMA touch pro 2

he mensions it in the vid

give me a shout if this doesnt work, hopfully this is all you need

I tried a couple of the cabs, but couldn't get anything to work. I can't remember if EZInput naturally came with a bunch of non-english files. If so, I probably deleted them which would explain why editing the registry appropriately doesn't work. I also tried a cab that supposedly has different lang file in it (Spanish being one of them) and that didn't work either. Anyway, you can have a look at those threads and maybe figure something out. I've been using that new taskbar for about a day now, and unfortunately I gotta say, I'm just not feeling it. It's too dark. I feel that the icons don't stand out enough. I have to pick up my phone or bend down most of the time to see for certain what the icons are. If I want to make sure that my phone is on vibrate, I can't glance at it as I walk by and be able to tell instantly that it's on vibrate or silent like I could with my old taskbar. I have to stop and take a sec to look good at it or bend over a bit to get a little closer or pick it up to get a better look. I love the design of them, but like I said it's just too dark, IMO.

With that being said, I do feel that my taskbar icons could use some refreshing and I'll be looking around for some new ones. But... I really love the taskbar icons I use now, so I'm not given em up for just any ol' icons. If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post screenies and links. I think I'll start by checking out that android looking set.

Since I don't plan on using this icon set in my ROM, you guys can go ahead and ask their creator if it's cool to post your CDMA version so everyone can have it.

I followed the instructions and i get the spanish option on, so i click it, then enable the xt9. And when i click any key it just wont work, nothing happens.
Is it ok to ask you next update comes with multilenguage built in? I dont pretend to be annoying, but it would be great.

I use people tab from leo, and it seems to work fine. You might want to give it a shot and see if it fixes it.
