Using the beta version (with htc messaging), I'm able to send mms using this method:

Server name: Your Choice
Ip Address: Blank
Port Number: 80
Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=your number here
Connect Via: Data or #777 Or VZW or whatever your data connection is
Send Limit: 1024 KB

But can't download a received mms picture....any suggestions?

(yes, I know there are issues with htc messaging and mms....just trying things out)

As far as I know you are as far as anyones gotten with MMS on VZW.
Iv checked around and this seems to be where everyone gets stuck.

only reason i didnt mention your name in my rant was cause i didnt wanna step on your toes or make it look like you asked me too, i agree this rom thread is the worst ive seen at"hit n run' dl's.

At the time "Bored" was changing the links.
You most certainly DID downloaded the "NO HTC Messaging" version.
check file size=141,163...
It uses native messaging and WORKS, AND is the only rom where the MMS settings look as your posted pictures.
If it was the beta, filesize would be 144,847
NOTE: Filsizes are actual, after download!

The fact that it asks you to download it, means your "Server Address" is incorrect. Re-check with other thread, and also try other setting without your (10digit!)number, as I thought that was for Sprint.

Well, it does appear that the version that I was running is not the same as the the one on smartphonejunkie. I went on that forum downloaded and flashed that ROM and as you say, MMS does not work. The size is the same. The only thing that I can figure is that I used SPB Backup to reload my PIM, documents, etc using the ROM UPDATE option with no overwrite of existing files. This normalyy does no overwrite anything but I guess HTC Messaging does not overlap Arcsoft. Thank all of you for taking the time to investigate this with me.

I find this rom quiker than most so I using with overclocker for now..

overclock is fixed, no softreset issue or only use on ac charging, links in vin rom thread.
