I love this ROM, but unfortunately I can't get tethering / interenet sharing to work. So I keep installing energy rom so I can can check online how to fix this.

Normally a working internet sharing will be like this.
2 drop downs
-PC Connection --- this one just is USB
-Network Connection ---- this one is usually "My Connection"

When i install SuperRom in the Network Connection drop down it has one option of "none"

so i install the MR. X PRL update cab and it didnt work. Same issue.
I created a new connection for network as well as the other one and still the same.



Any ideas? I really need tethering.

Tethering works for me 100%. Go to Wifi not internet sharing.

I was hoping we could get wired tethering to work on this rom too. i ran into the same problem, and can only get wifi tethering to work. wired tethering is far more reliable. any fix for this?

I am answering these post using the wired internet tethering.
I also used the silence sprint cab to have the sprint setting in the dropdown box.

So it does work, you just need to use the carrier cab thats in the rom.

Its funny that I had this problem with Energyrom.
I also was using MrXrom as it is one of my favs, but this rom seems amazing on battery and speed for me so I stayin here for a while.

Interesting... so i need to run a cab? Perhaps this was what i needed to do with EnergyRom also.

Thank you! so much for a very lighting fast U.I/ROM. After i flashed to your superRom, right after bootup, i tested it. Oh boy was i so shocked,excited & salivate simultaneously, by the speed of the SuperRom's response that i nearly dropped the phone I didn't expect that such a speed is capable. I believed you had cracked the Da vinci Code for this cdma rhodium for achieving at a much faster rate as if the phone itself has a higher processor!! I think WinMo 6.5 matched with sense 2.1 is the most optimum setup for the rhodium for a fast & efficient experience. (in my opinion) Of course winmo 6.5.x & sense 2.5 is good, however i think its a bit taxing for a rhodium to really be optimally fast & efficient!!
Now the rhodium is a real proper Phone 1st & Pocket PC 2nd!! You've had just put the engineers at HTC to shame :P (kidding anyone)

just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your rom. while i do like a lot of the features that manila 2.5 + cookie's home tab can provide, it was just not snappy and responsive enough to be practical for me.

looking forward to the potential upgrades in speed and features you have planned for upcoming builds. cheers.

First of all when you install any cab do a soft reset after EACH cab just to be sure......how many times did you flash your touch pro 2?....

you might be having issues due to the fact you are flasging it tooooo many times.

there is a thread here explaining a process for those who do...
more or less i would flash to the STOCK rom and then go from there.
thats what i did....

thats what i did....

It's set to the middle for battery life, but you can adjust it for more speed and less battery life.

Well thanks for the replies. I personally do not want to use the wifi internet sharing. it is not as fast on start up and quite often i leave the wifi on and it runs the battery down.
I really like the USB interent sharing.

Thank you for the reply.. I do understand the importance of soft resetting
and treated that with a respect. I also ran Task29. before each install.
Honestly, as long as I have been flashing (6700 6800 6900 TP2, there are just some Roms that are not set up to work tethering (USB) for my sprint phone. But there are other roms that DO work without any issue what so ever. Currently using Mr X. and it works great.

I either missed on a carrier version download, or I didnt see an option.
Or maybe there really is something missing in the SuperRom that is not set up for the sprint carrier to use USB.

I am currently using Mr. X and it works just fine with USB tethering.
