Side Note:
The two messaging clients dont communicate to eachother again... If a text shows in HTC messenger it wont show in Windows messenger. TW, I think we've been rushing your work a little too much. Take your time man, It will pay off in the end! Thanks, |

Just as I thought, the dialer is not problem alone. I am just getting ready to flash using dynamic memory allocation. Let's see what this does, resources are only allocated as each program is launched. Therefore more memory will be available at boot. Whether or not this will solve the problem, let's see. I tried this before and had about 85 MB of memory available at boot. It does slow the phone a little bit, but worth the tradeoff in more memory available. Will report back later with what I found. Cheers TW

Another thought,
I did run your blue theme cab (dl'd from first page cause I know you changed it) Also another taskbar. I've tried uninstalling both with no change to camera status but I should probably try to flash again just to clean it up. Other than that I have the same programs installed as always (well except for skyfire which I finally realized was already in the rom, LOL). Will flash again tonight if I get home at a decent hour! Re: 6/14/10 V9.4.1 Dinik Glass Icons/CHT1.8/7 Color Themes,XDA_UC
Anybody running into situations where windows seems to be grabbing memory and not letting go? When the phone is freshly rebooted, I can run a clean ram and it says I have 58.38MB free. However once I start running programs and exit them, windows does not seem to be freeing up the ram. I went ahead and installed Magic Button so that I can see what apps are running and it will let me kill the app with the X, but the RAM is not freeing. Anybody have any ideas? I have to reboot this thing at least once a day because it starts running REALLY sluggish.

"If a text shows in HTC messenger it wont show in Windows messenger." Please explain, what do you mean by "Windows messenger", HTC meaning SMS/MMS. Quote:

Now for what I found about the memory issue. 1. It's not the dialer, I added 2 custom themes (Black Dusk and Pewter). I don't think anyone even noticed. Well they were using about 9mb of ram. The zero memory allocation was already set in this rom, I forgot (CRS). I have removed them and 2nd boot with carrier provisioning, then XDA_UC on the 3rd boot. Memory is about 76-79mb available. Better but can be improved on. Pics of the 2 themes |
