I know you guys must be getting sick of me asking for help with Start icons, but I have 2 more I can't find to replace.

Too get rid of the task manager icon I deleted the shortcut from the SYS build folder. Simply changing the icon should be the same as any other I believe, but if you've already tried that, then I guess I'm wrong. I'm at work and can't make out what the other one is on these shitey computers, sorry

How can I change where an OEM package icon is placed in my start menu? I can't use app.dats in an OEM folder right? I tried using an initflashfile.dat to make the change but it "F"s with my kitchen and makes an unbootable ROM.

Take a look inside SYS\21911\DPI_192\COMMON\Base_DPI_192

replace 21911 with the build your working on, that will give you a place where you can replace some of the icons you want with your own, and not need an extra module for them.

I think I just need to start from scratch. I have my initflashfiles.dat so screwed up. Time to put the original one back in and start over.

Look in OEM/touch_Pro2/0409/oem_lang_0409/initflashfiles.dat

Another trick about Start Menu arrangement I did was to build a ROM and then manually move all the programs around in the start menu so they were in the order I wanted and then I saved the entire "HKLM\Secirity\Shell\Start Info\Start" key, then went in and cleared everything out of the .reg but the "Item Position" and value for each icon. It seemed easier than going in and manually putting in an Item Position value one by one for each program. It's still a little time consuming, but easier IMO.

I'll try that, but will that also help me with getting things in the correct folder? The other thing is changing Icons. I found most and changed them, but there are a few I can't find. The one you couldn't see on my earlier post was the contacts tab. Somewhere in my kitchen it's wanting to put it in the \Communications folder, and I can't find it.
