Maybe it would have been cool if CHT weren't around, but CHT v2.0 is around and it blows MaxSense out of the water!

You will then find the provxml and you can edit it to remove those lines.

You could also make a provxml yourself and name it so it is processed last (though the more provxml's being processed, the longer the 1st boot is).

EDIT: Well mwalt beat me.

EDIT #2: If you were using Barin's OSBuilder, you could run a registry check and include provxml's. It will tell you what provxml is overwriting it and what line of the provxml.
Thanks guys. I did a search with Agent Ransack (great tool) and didn't find a provxml. But I saw it in another reg file, when I realized I had a total brain fart. My reg was in decimal, not Hex.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

I have been building with OS Builder and have an almost perfect rom except for a few items below. Anyone know how to set these?

Disable STK Service
Disable Error Reporting Service
Set Album to close instead of minimize
Wifi stays on during standby

Also, i have been using UI Tweaker to change some font and select colors. Does anyone know of a better way to do that kind of stuff? I would like the select color and font color changes to be cooked in but cant find a way to export my changes from UI Tweaker.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Anyone have any tips on lowering memory usage? I'm at around 88meg free on boot with a 14meg PP. Running build 21683 and sense 2019 and even disabled cookie and any visual icons to try and keep gwes low (it's around 28M). With cookie and custom icons, I'm down to around 60M.

A lot of this is common knowledge now so forgive me if you have heard all this... I removed the below stuff in the MSXIPKernel and OEMXipKernel with OS Builder. Im sure you can just delete the folders and files if you are using visual kitchen. You would want to comment out or remove the related references in boot.rgu as well. If you search around for xip tweaks on MobileUnderground and XDA you will find lots of little tweaks. This kind of stuff used to be closely guarded by chefs but with the winmo scene dwindling it looks like most chefs are reveling their secrets (You can download MightyRom's kitchen now). Alot of it was on XDA anyway you just had to search around... In alot of ways we have reached the end of what we can tweak with winmo as far as memory goes...

fsreplxfilt.dll
htcfsfilter.dll
oem_flashdrv.dll
oem_flashdrv_1.dll
mencfilt.dll

some say to remove cachefilit.dll also but I dont know exactly what that would effect.

I use CHT 1.8.5.1 still and it does seem to use more gwes.exe...

Thanks for the advice. I'm actually using osKitchen Zero. It does have a check box to "Remove unneeded debug and memory card encryption libraries from the XIP during the ROM generation" which I have been using. Not sure which files it's removing though.

I guess I was more interested in everyone's take on which stock packages aren't necessary. I found the post mobileunderground about what does what. But my stock rom had quite a bit more packages (some necessary) that weren't anywhere on the list. What are some of the common, unneeded memory hogs that I could strip?
