raiderfan has to be right. If those tabs were not in a 26948339_manila files somewhere in your kitchen then you would not be able to use them at all and Sense would not boot. Search your entire kitchen for "26948339_manila" and see how many files you come up with...

Obviously, you only need one. I keep mine in it's own EXT folder towards the end of my kitchen just so it's easier to keep track of and I'm always reminded to adjust it, if necessary, when playing with Sense tabs.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Thanks guys. You're right when I searched for 26948339_manila I only looked in the Manila 2019. Forgot the zManila options where there's an overwriting 26948339_manila. Gonna try it out now.

On an unrelated topic, does anyone know how to cook in a self signed server certificate? I want to shorten the initial boot time so I don't have to UC my exchange cert in there.

No one else having those screen of death issues? I just had it again, left the phone alone for 5 mins, got a text, went to turn the screen back on and its not working. The green light is flashing to indicate a new message, though.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Hey guys, I'm starting to put the finishing touches on my kitchen, and have run into an issue I just can't figure out.

I'm trying to disable the security certificate warning message that work by regedit's. So I created a new package and added an app.reg with the following:

Code:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"00001001"=dword:00000001
"00001005"=dword:00000016
"00001017"=dword:00000144
"0000101b"=dword:00000001
I've also made it the last package that gets cooked, but once the rom is fully booted, I open up regedit, and only some of the keys stayed. This is what it looks like:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"00001001"=dword:00000001
"00001005"=dword:00000022
"00001017"=dword:00000324
"0000101b"=dword:00000001
Any idea why those two keys don't stick?

You probably have a .provxml that is processed during 1st boot which overwrites the registry entries defined while cooking (the app.reg). You can use a program like Agent Ransack to search all .txt in your kitchen for "00001005"=dword:00000022 and "00001017"=dword:00000324. You will then find the provxml and you can edit it to remove those lines.

You could also make a provxml yourself and name it so it is processed last (though the more provxml's being processed, the longer the 1st boot is).

There is probably a provxml that is overwriting your reg.

EDIT: Well mwalt beat me.

EDIT #2: If you were using Barin's OSBuilder, you could run a registry check and include provxml's. It will tell you what provxml is overwriting it and what line of the provxml.

I noticed when I was trying to update sys and manila packages. I am out of town a lot and it is hard for me to always have to search for every little piece to update. I thought the forum was going to keep the front page updated with new packages so it wasn't scattered around the threads and forums. It's real nice being able to check there for new packages. Thanks for all the work here!
