Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

You guys ever find anything better than Lumos for autobacklight control?
.NET apps seem to eat WM alive (Mem & Batt)... so I'm attempting to phase out as many as possible.

Is any app like that really necessary? I've never used any kind of auto backlight control. I just don't see the need. I actually turn of auto backlight control and set mine at 100% all the time.

On a separate note,

Can anyone help me out with this Resco File Explorer .cab? I would like to get rid of everything but the actual file explorer. I've opened up the .cab and tried many things, but I just can't seem to get rid of these three shortcuts it's placing in my start menu.

I can do it as an EXT, but I want to install this as a .cab. The .cab I'm posting is an unaltered .cab. The pic is from a .cab that I've messed with. Basically the .cab has the File Explorer, System Info., Resco Registry Editor and Resco Task Manager. All I want is the File Explorer part.

So if anyone has some time to mess with this .cab and see if you can strip it down to just the File Explorer, I'd be forever in your debt

Oh, and if anyone is willing and able to do it, if you could list what files you removed to accomplish it when you post back the altered .cab, that'd be great!

Thanks

I turn off auto-backlight since it's a waste of batteries. I map a key to run myLight, which makes it easy to change the brightness. If it's sunny, I hold a key, and change the brightness. It's much easier then relying on the auto-backlight IMO.

Try to delete the setup.dll from the cab. That has to be what is making the shortcuts since they aren't listed in the shortcut section in WinCE cab maker. Most cabs work fine when you delete setup.dll (though there are some that don't).

F***in' A! I spent every bit of free time I had today messing with that BS only to find out I never tried deleting the only file that I needed to delete to accomplish my goal! Sometimes I suck!

You, on the other hand, rock! Thanks once again.

Wideawake has been working on it so far. I missed a couple of discussions so I am not sure who he has in mind to run it permanently.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

If I go to "Clocks and Alarms" in 23563 when I click on the down arrow to the right of the time it opens up the HTC scrolling numbers thingamabobber to change the time. If I click on the date, no Calendar opens up, neither WM or HTC. I also can't change the date in Tasks. It automatically puts the start and end dates as today's date. There is no arrow to the right of the dates that would normally bring up the calendar to change the dates. It used to bring up a calendar with different packages. I know that having the HTC scrolling numbers and calendar opening up is to do with HTC Framework and Shared Resources. Is Shared Modules to do with this as well?

Anyone know exactly which combo versions of the two or three works to open up the HTC Calendar and Time change when in WM "Clocks and Alarms" and open up the calendar in "Tasks"?

Can someone check to see if they pull up the HTC Calendar, time change and HTC calendar in Tasks and if so, let me know what versions of the three afore mentioned packages you're using?

I wish they would change it again. They need to have dates things were found/added and the ability to sort by date, etc.
