I'm confused, aren't the language files necessary? What is their purpose if indeed they're not necessary?

Some EXT's have Lang folders that include no reg or files so that would make them unnecessary. Others you will need to add a workable 0409 lang to make the EXT in WWE, they will also have files and/or a .reg.

Dont you think that 2.6 messaging tab is sweet? I thought 2.6 would not work with our manila? Its been working well, I dont know what the deal is...

Yes. These are the ########_manila files that are specifically alternate Lang files for menus. For those of us who are "en-us" we don't need these files.
Took some time to look through and remove them using mode9 too.

I get it. I thought he was saying that he had removed the 0409 files from that package. He's saying that he removed non-0409 files from the package. Duh! Sorry

So, if I'm trying to use the 2018 package from Mobile Underground that TMartin linked up on the last page, I would need to remove the 0804 files and replace them with 0409 files, right? If that's correct, where can I get 0409 files for all the tabs? Can I use them from say...2016?


The only issue I have in using a Core 2018 with everything else 2016 is Twitter. When I hit the update button from the menu it restarts Sense. Has a fix been found for this yet? It autoupdates just fine...

Does anyone mess with CFC compression? I noticed the EXTs Alexx~ posted are not cfc compressed. Does cookies home tab care abot CFC?

The files Co0kiemonster posts for CHT are non-CFC'd.

Since we have been getting them NOT cfc patched/fixed and most all of the Collaboration Kitchen setup is CFC'd I posted this up a couple days ago when I ran into the same question.
Additional info

Here is the newest ManilaCore that was just posted.
- CFC patched & compressed
- ONLY 0409 files included (less ~156 manila lang files)
