Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Is there a way to get a cab to install in a certain folder in the start menu? I have several that I install with XDA_UC, and would like those to install in folders in the start menu?

I always use WinCE Cab Manager to change the directory it writes the shortcut.
note: If the cabs use a setup.dll, it most likely overwrites your new shortcut.

mxipupdate - updates when the package is updated/boot. I usually cook'em, so I use this as it usually doesn't get updated...
mxipcold - updates only on first boot.

edit: And a rgu2xml that comes in handy for making those RGU's and app.reg files into xml. Then just rename it...
Thanks for the lesson and link. That's why I love this place!

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

I'd love to get a start menu as clean as one Mighty Mike use's in his rom. The one (and only) thing I really liked about the Sprint 6.1 rom was how clean and user friendly the start menu was.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Did you learn a lot from that MobileUnderground thread? Not sure if you've already seen it or not, but if you missed it when Rstoyguy mentioned it, check out this thread over at XDA for an F-ton of how to's.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564130

I feel that I've become quite proficient at start menu arrangement. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions on the matter. There's really no reason you can't have your start menu as clean as MM's.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

I did learn a lot from the MobileUnderground thread. I cleared up about 10-15 icons I wanted elsewhere, but yes, I did miss Rstoyguy's post. I still have more work to do, and I still have to find all the junk sprint adds in and get rid of it.

Not saying you don't know this - just clarifying for others reading.

Mxipcold files are executed on a cold boot = a hard reset.
