Thanks, is it worth it to look for a way to get the OEMXIP (device kernel, etc.) from the us cell rom? or will this not make any dif compared to whats already in the kitchen?

just a warning... there are files in the calkulin oem driver folder that arent in the dump from cellsouth. so i would suggest swapping the files one for one and not just delete the old folder and add the new one

attached is the oemxip from the cell south dump (i havent tested it)
Attached Files
File Type: rar OEMXipKernel.rar (491.9 KB, 4 views) Click for barcode!

I actually don't think the missing files matter. These drivers were built for cdma Touch Pro 2s. Maybe what was left out was obsolete or rendered not important. Most of the files in the folder are upgrades from the sprint dump and I cannot imagine HTC releasing an identical device with missing drivers.

actually most of the files are ringtones and alerts. calkulin put them in there and not in the sys

update - there are also 2 provxmls in the cellsouth dump that arent in the calkulin (original) oemdriver folder

and here is another - smarttouch.dll is in the cs oem and is in the oemcommon folder in the calkulin

Ha, I seperated that a while back. I keep everything seperated in my kitchen so that upgrades are easier.

I do. based on Sprint 6.5 manila. BTW all the US Cellular manila files are garbage and way old. Only thing good is the updated manila core.

And we can use the core without problem with the rest of the Sprint manila package?

Who can point me to a tutorial on removing the additional language files?

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

What did I do wrong? I still have the default icons for these folders:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ GPS]
"Icon"="
\\Windows\\Folder GPS.png"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Media]
"Icon"="
\\Windows\\HTC_multimedia.png"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Internet]
"Icon"="
\\Windows\\HTC_internet.png"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Communicate]
"Icon"="
\\Windows\\HTC_calls.png"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Organize]
"Icon"="
\\Windows\\Folder Tools.png"

The pngs are in the "files" folder of the tweaks folder that the regedits are in.

what I did was to go into the oem 409 files and actually put my .png's in there and renamed them what they were called in the OEM. A couple of my folders weren't coming out right and that was the only way I could fix it.

p.m. welrope, he could probably help you figure it out. I actually copied some of is and added my own .pngs for some of mine.
