Yes most of it is in the storage card, its almost 2 gigs with maps, poi's , 3d terrain, and buildings, but some files are written to programs folder in the phone during the installation process.

Quick question to anyone...

I can't seem to remember how to find my manila version. I know what version I'm using, but I just happened to notice that Settings Tab\About Phone\Software Information and Settings Tab\About Phone\Hardware Information both have the same things... the screen with the Version, Hardware and Identity tabs at the bottom.

I thought that Settings Tab\About Phone\Software Information used to lead me to a Sense style screen with the manila version and other info. Has this changed or am I looking in the wrong spot?

I'm noticing this on build 28223. Is it a build thing?

It should show Settings Tab\About Phone\Software Information but since yours somehow isn't, you can look in your reg and find out. Just go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\MASD] and look for something with Manila Core in it. That will tell you what version your running.

was the sys the only thing you changed? what packages have you added since last time that screen displayed properly?

i dont believe the change in sys would cause the problem. something you have added (or subtracted) has overwritten the manila build info

I'll have to go through my kitchen carefully and see if I can find it. I don't check that often and definitely not every time (almost everyday) I cook a new ROM and so it's hard to say exactly when it happen. I'll just have to do some testing.

I'm at work now though and just thought someone else might have experienced this at some point and may have the solution or at least be able to point me in the right direction.

does it take you to the old style look? if so then you need to update your device info OEM

just make sure to remove the old one first
