i tried the ucweb and the nighttime feature was cool, but opera mini 5 will blow it out of the water.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

As my little noob brain is starting to grasp some of the basics and concepts of the files, their layouts, etc. It has occurred to me that there is inherent file duplication in the cooking process. If I understand correctly, all of the files in your SYS/OEM/EXT packages are getting copied into \windows on the ROM. Many of them are Copied to other folders via app.dat or initflashfiles.txt but they are never deleted from the \windows directory.
Is there a way to clean up this directory and delete those duplicate files. Is it even worth the trouble? I assume it would save some storage space, but would it have any positive effect on speed/ram ?

Sounds like a good idea. Sometimes something can randomly get corrupted. I, for one, had to start fresh because my kitchen randomly stopped letting me build 6.5.x ROMs.

Had the same type of issue a ways back and had to restart a "fresh" kitchen. I could build ROMS, but when they were loaded, they would sometimes not boot or if they did they were a mess. I had no ide what it was. Something must have gotten corrupt cause I created the new kitchen and moved everything I added over to the new copy of the kitchen and things worked fine.

It happens.
