I sound like a broken record but in most cases problems like this are solved by running "Task29" so I would give that a shot.

i went ahead and flashed that rom and found no texting issue, except that it is the other sprint like 2012version HTCmessagin, which is not as advanced as the other "no mms"rom version, and it cannot presently be disable in favor of classic WM messaging.

Anyway I herd about your problem before and it sounds definitly like a conflict somewhere so I would do as suggested and also look into any provisioning or sms/mms cab you may have added.

i might be mistaken, but it seems there is no calculator in the rom. can you include the HTC calc in your next rom?

I'm a total newb, but figured it out.

I dowloaded unzipper program from Cnet called "V- File viewer" here:
http://download.cnet.com/V-The-File-...html?tag=mncol

and unzipped the contents to my hard drive.

Then, I double tapped the file names "ROMUpdateUtility" to run the ROM installer to my phone that was connected via activesync.

(I typed out the above for any other newbs like me that get stuck.)

Yes but the instructions said to only use Task29 IF you know how to manually put your device in bootloader mode. Its not sounding like thats the case. SO first off were you able to extract or unzip the ROM? IF not that requires a program like 7-zip:

Secondly to put the device in bootloader take the battery cover off (while the device is on) hold down the power button and volume down and press the reset with the stylus. Continue to hold down the power and volume down until you get the color bands. Once you see the bands and the files are extracted you should be able to flash provided your device is unlocked.

Thank you very much for posting and cooking this ROM.
I was able to get the bootlaoder up just by removing the battery for 5 seconds, then only holding down the POWER button and the VOLUME DOWN key at the same time on my Sprint Touch Pro 2.

I have your ROM installed.
I just figured out to tap the top left corner of the screen to bring up the version of a task manager that your are using.

In this ROM, how do I put a "quick link" on the home screen that will link me to "Texts" (Windows Messaging version of text screen) like on the other ROMs?

I looked for "Texts" in the "quick link" "program" list and it wasn't there.
