you know what? I'm gonna try the 6.5 beta rom..why not help a brother out. Will let you know how it does. Installing on Sprint HTC TP2

Edit: WOW the menus look cleaner. I like the way file explorer looks ! and the bottom menu bar is slick as well. I like the size menu bar in the phone application, you can now actually switch between dialer and call history very easy.

I may have the same issue as Slwitek....

Lead ROM 10/24 for Sprint, running for the past few weeks. Last night programs were failing to open, menus were failing to render, etc. I soft reset and the boot process made it to the orange Windows splash screen and hung. A second soft reset and the phone didn't make it past the white HTC splash screen.

Throwing the phone in bootloader and flashing the Lead beta. Let me know if anyone has any tips for me.

ya that bug was happening to me on that rom as well. I have been trying to 6.5.x rom for a while and it hasn't happened yet. it may be something in the sys files.

6.5.x has too many other bugs for me. The call history doesn't save calls, sound stops working sometimes.

I'll try out the other 6.5 beta and see how it is.

I did this with a cab I got from the 6.1 days, and it doesnt work well. notifications replay, but wont stop properly. I did the registry edit manually on mr xrom, which did take, not sure why this rom doesnt.

Used the 6.5.x today and found that i lost my sound "after and only after" I synced using the desktop to get my contacts in and also same result after syncing with Microsofts MyPhone. What happens is you get a call and everything is fine but then after the call has ended you lose the sound and even the vol up and down screen gets bugged. I flashed this rom three times today and narrowed it down to the syncing of your phone will make you lose your sound after first phone call.

Hey jdfrye,

I also flashed the 6.5.X beta and am having all kinds of weird behavior with incoming phone calls. The ringer hasn't yet sounded and if I ignore the call or the caller hangs up, the phone will vibrate for a minute or 2 afterwards. I also had the sound issue where if you boot the phone with headphones plugged in to the headphone jack there will be no sound until you unplug and reboot.

thats y yall should stick with the good ol 21916 build rom in which the only issue i have is the OzIM not staying signed in or saving my information/conversations. and i recently had the issue where my exchange account disappeared and data info but that was my fault for using cleanRAM to try to refresh filesys.exe to try to free up some RAM as it takes up the most

I was using that Rom but unit froze on me twice and after a soft reboot all my contacs disappeared, another time I just did a soft reboot and it went into hard reset and everything was gone. thus I tried the newest beta. theres nothing i can do now except go back to the stock rom. not gonna use that bloated energy thing. Will try the next beta/final for sure

That's a problem with HTC's software (probably OEMDrivers or something). The same thing will happen on both stock Sprint ROMs.

There's nothing wrong with 6.5.x builds. I've used many of the different branches in my own ROMs and do not have any of the problems being discussed here. It may be an issue of this specific ROM, but you can't generalize it to all 6.5.x SYS/ROMs.

The ringing/sound issue used to happen back in the Diamond/TouchPro days because of too many modules in Slot 0. I'm assuming leadpoizon is using the 6.5 nk.exe, so that wouldn't be the cause the problems if he is. I'm just throwing it out there in case he dumped the original sprint rom and use OEMXIPKernel from that, which could lead to those problems.
