Have you experienced the blank top taskbar problem? Do you have the older version of pocket shield. i'll try that?

UPDATE: i went to try to duplicate the problem and i got a low mem error trying to launch youtube. Nothing but activesynch was open in the taskmgr. I looked at mem and i was at 16. Soft resetting...

64meg after soft reset. maybe it was my configuration of pocketshield. i had some image error loading a background saying i needed to crop it? (when there is a crop tool in pocketshield..) and maybe that borked something up.
I have not had the blank taskbar at the top, but I have had in the past with pocket shield so maybe you PS is messed up, uninstall it and try 3.2.8 out. Plus you should never be below 40MB-50MB free with only MS open. With MS Closed you can get to 100MB Free.

Maybe you should email the pocketshield guy with a link to your thread. Ask him if we can have a ppcgeeks discount of his software. SPB should hire you too lol...

nm its only $10.49 on his site. I saw this the other day and was bummed that it was over, but i guess he does it every so often. Expired in 10 hours currently however. So i just bought it! you are right its worth it.

Tried to run the new sprint beta today and it was a real trial to get it just to load.....Formula.MS353.23541.Sprint.V1.7z and Formula.MS353.23540.Sprint.v1.7z both took really long to load and after a soft reset sometime wouldnt stayed on the boot screen forever. I'm going back to the beta (ormula.MS353.23534.Beta.v1.7z) because it has such great potential! Thanks and keep up the good work.

other than the inability to send or recieve picture messages and draining the battery faster than normal (maybe 20% increase) it runs absolutly awesome!

These were some symptoms I had recently before I flash the Stock Sprint ROM again, you may want to try this because I have not issues with the new builds, You are referring to a loaded rom right and not the actual time to first load and boot after flashing?

Since you are on Verizon you probably need to change the MMS Server, the Arcsoft Package I use during build has all the Carriers settings in there for you but you may need to change from Sprint to Verizon.

GoTo Start -> Messaging -> In the menu look for MMS or Pics/Video Options

here is where your MMS settings are look for the CDMA Servers tab, you should see all different carriers already there, Highlight Verizon and Choose Set Default Button. That should do it. Let me know.

Oh and about the battery give it some time, with a rom flash you will always notice battery shortness until you get a full charge... What I usually do is let the battery drian all the way down till the device shuts off, then with the phone off charge it till i get a full charge (green light). This has always yielded great battery life for me and while I don't think this is needed every flash when you notice your battery not lasting as long as it should try it out it works.
