I've flashed my TP2 three times; R5, R7, and now R8.5 and I have never gotten a message saying I needed to program my phone any time I flashed. Should I still dial *228, option 1?

You won't be required to dial *228 if you've only flashed the ROM. If you follow the steps recommended by some cooks that include a hard reset, then you will be asked to dial *228 upon first boot. It doesn't really have anything to do with flashing, just the hard reset.

Only time I ever have to *228 opt.1 is when I hard reset the VZW stock rom while doing a flash dance. I only do that when going from one cook to another not just ROM to ROM. I have never had to after flashing a custom ROM & hard resetting. I usually HR twice to be sure to clean it up and still haven't had to dial 228 op 1. weird......

Yeah, the R8 was having some problems for me, it wouldn't wake from sleep about 5 times last night, and really killed the battery in the process...so I got home and found 8.5, downloaded, flashed, and everything seems to be working out quite well now...the phone hasn't had a single problem since then. I re-configured everything, did not install the cookie home tab deal like I did before. The battery is either not talking to the phone properly now, or the battery life is amazing...because it's still on 100%...I wanted to install a 1% battery driver and taskbar, but the one I used on MightyRom with a slightly older build of windows, and sense 2.1, does not work properly with this rom, so I need to dig around and find one that will work with this build and this version of 2.5...but otherwise I'm happy so far with 8.5.

Does anyone know of a B4ALL cab that works well with Co0kie home tab? I've tried several but have had no luck.
