A NOOB at your forum doesn't mean they have no clue about devices, the comment by darren.wlsn1 was incindiary and combattive and met adequate response.

You fail to address the name calling started by flyers2114. What ethics or codes there of do you use to fairly justify your fairness in the matter MRX???

The question from Mayonessa is the only true suggested help that was insinuated. IF you have a positive suggestion/solution, you cant fit it in the same sentence with a derogatory phrase, as this domain is far from a C++ skills test

You must be a moderator, exercise your show of force and ban me from the site if you are unable to resolve such minorities without seemingly taking sides and addressing all issues/parties.

Sorry if this has been answered, but is there a way to get it so that the whether doesn't animate on the home screen? I am using the newest 2.1 build and I cant seem to get it to stop by changing backgrounds like other versions.

post 8 but read the other posts aswell, its for 2.5 so it may work but changeing to static wallpaper also works.

I think this was also addressed in Mighty's 2.1 thread, check over there. I'll take a look when I get a chance.

Just found this over at XDA, it's a taskbar launcher for 6.5.X builds, pretty neat so far. It's still beta but I've been playing with it this morning and no problems I can find on Mal's 6.5.3 2.1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=621624

lol sorry its not working at all when im in a call and press speaker it goes into speaker mode but you cannot hear anything and volume is all the way up

atleast yours rings, the other guys doesnt. lol
are you using a dialer skin? mal may have to jump in here soon with these ringer/volume issues. maybe post what apps ect your using if you dont mind, im having no issues so...

ok i cleared storage and it all now works must be one of the cabs i installed that are interfering with the rom

Darren, I haven't forgotten about you. I will post my list this evening. I do have another question for you or Mal. Mal I listened to your most recent WMExperts podcast and there was a discussion about Amazon's video on demand (I forgot the official name). I have used this service before and it worked fine. At that time I was using 6.1, however, after I installed this ROM I am now not able to transfer the videos to my phone. It now gives me an error message. I had the same issue with MM's Impact ROM. I'm now wondering if it is a 6.5.3 compatibility issue. I know you are busy with your move and new job so if you don't have time to answer I understand. I'm in no big hurry. Darren, if you or anyone else can suggest another EASY way to download video it would be appreciated.

Love this ROM, does it support picture mail? I tried to install Arcsoft and it didn't work either. is there anything i can do on my end? I have sprint if that helps.

Anyone with the 6.5.3 / 2.1 Malrom running (or trying to run) the new Slingplayer 2.xx? The colors are all wrong (reds are blue, etc.). The slingplayer thread is pretty inactive now. I posted to that and got no response. I'm wondering if the problem is the ROM or Slingplayer itself. One of the choices on Sling's download page is Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2, so I can only conclude from that it's supposed to work with the TP2. Anyone? Anyone?

Closing out programs/apps with the X in the bottom corner with 6.5.3 doesn't close them out, just minimizes them. Anyone know a way to get it so that clicking the X will close the programs out so I don't have to go to Arkswitch every time?

I'm running MalROM v1.5b6 WM6.5.3 and can't get the display to "sleep". It will dim, but the backlight never shuts off unless I hit the power button. But as for as "auto sleep", it never happens. I did a search but didn't find much help. Any ideas?

im not slinging on this rom but i am on a 2.1 rom with no issues on my other tp2 so its not sling, just used it tonight.

You can just click the upper right corner where the time is and shut them down there, but no, you can't set the X to close apps.

Tried the new MALRom with 2.5 and it's very unstable on my Sprint TP2. Encountered several random reboots and lockups. Tried reinstalling it, with and without sprint provisioning, etc. but encountered the same result. :(

I didn't experience any significant instability issues with 1.5B6 and 2.1.

I still don't like 2.5 too much, I want stability, so I keep going back to the 2.1's. Hopefully Mal will get an update in the near future, but for stability Mal's 2.1's are absolutely rock solid.

So.... yes I am a lurker, but I only post and request info when and where i feel it is necessary....

Question for you guys is this, as mot ppl seem to be running 6.5.x, or sense, 2.1/2.5..... How does this ROM perform against the stock Verizon 6.5 ROM? What noticable differences am I likely to see. I would be running the base 6.5 Titanium only.

I have no real problems with the Verizon 6.5, other than the version of Arcsoft that they have causes a lag with txt messages that have a lot of history to them....

TIA to any and all input!

You will see a major upgrade... especially if you are goig to run titanium only:mrgreen:

I installed the 6.5.3 with Sense 2.1 but can't get touchflo going. I was able to turn off the default windows one, but there is no way (at least no easy way) to turn on touchflo instead. how do I do this? Thanks.

I'm assuming you've already tried checking HTC Sense in the today screen (settings/today) where you would have turned off the default one? Which ROM did you d/l? If it's a titanium only it's not gonna be there, and if it's one with TF loaded, that going to be the default. Let's start by which rom you d/l'd, what you've done and what the screen currently looks like.

I have the same problem. I honestly don't know why they are there in the first place. To most of us, most of these links are just plain useless. how do I get rid off them?

An incorrect reg change in the "777" line can be the culprit.
Also, if you ever use "advance config" program, it will incorrectly put "GPRS" into the "777" reg edit line.
Also, Old Dialers "dll" & other progs like incorrect taskbar "dll" can also cause probs..

Last tip:
I always take out my SD card if flashing from computer in case rom tries to look for files to install without my permission :p

The problem is you cannot remove them. The favorite menu of both my IE and opera are clean but those bookmarks are still there.

I'm unloading the rom.

Removing them from the favorites menu does not remove them from the manila tab, i've tried countless times. Also i don't see a bookmark soft key on the internet tab
