after updating to the new rom update for jan 12th 2 problems keyboard layout is diff now tried to get the sprint cab for it but not working and 2 when i go to albums and try to go to my memory card folder it wont move to that folder just stays on camera shots. :(

Yeah, I went back to the Jan 3 6.5 ROM and the "play" button on videos works there. So, I don't know. Anybody have a solution? But the Jan 3 ROM is rock solid.

Hey guys, just a quick heads up:

• Working on porting WM6.5.3 build 23518 (w/threaded Outlook email)
• Working on fix for HTC Album (sorry about that, I never use the darn thing)
• Working on adding KB maps to carrier provisioning .cabs
• Looking into going back to Chainfire D3D to stop "flickering"

No specific time-frame for all of that, though I'm aiming for 48hrs.

Thanks Mal. So am I correct in stating that the keyboard is not even provisioned right for sprint? I noticed for instance I need to type a "/" to get a ":". Any ideas on a quick fix for this?

Also, with regards to the lock screen - is there any way I can set it such that it auto-locks the device when I press the power button, or to have that functionality do I need to use good ol' lock device 1.6?

Thanks, Mal. I had tried MM's version of the KB fix, and it actually made things worse. I installed the "Verizon Keyboard Fix" cab from this post #796 in Calkulin's kitchen thread and that seems to fix the keyboard. Sorry, don't have the minimum posts to include the full link.

Just wanted to verify that I'm using MalROM WM6.5.3 (1/12 release) on a Sprint TP2 and experienced the "/" instead of ":" keyboard bug reported by others. The sprintkbfix cab posted earlier resolved this issue for me.

Question: Anyone else having problems with autorotate functionality? My Sprint TP2 goes into landscape if I open the keyboard. If the keyboard is closed, it stays in keyboard regardless of how the unit is oriented. I've enabled the g-sensor screen rotation function but it doesn't seem to work properly for me...

Run the HDTweaks applet which is preinstalled in the settings->system folder. Section 12 includes settings for startup animations and sounds.

Mal,

A couple of additional requests for consideration in future releases:

1. G-sensor autorotate for most programs.
2. Zoom-bar functionality for most programs.

Both of these features seemed to work for most 3rd party apps when I used the stock ROM and the cleanup tweaks cab. I can't seem to get the zoom-bar nor g-sensor autorotate to work very well with the 6.5.3 1/2 MalROM release.

imo use the cab,the roms are good now but were better before , i dont like the actionscreen cooked in and would like that as a cab for those that use it and autorote is also a user pref. not all like.

Hi I have been using your ROM with my Verizon TP2 - works great except that the green symbols on the keyboard don't match up. \ generates + etc. Do you know of a fix for this? I prefer your ROM over the official Verizon 6.5 release

Also Mal I am running your1.5b4 6.5.3 an when I changed my incoming call so that it vibrates an rings it only stays in that setting until I either soft reset or shut the phone off then it goes back to just ring.

It honestly depends on what you're looking for. Any in Pegasus's thread will work for 6.5 and 6.5.3 as long as you're on 2.1 which I have to assume you're on if you're in this thread. I personally would use the most recent version, 0.5 final, which I believe is the full theme, but based on the time you took to respond, I'm not sure if you honestly took the time to read everything he wrote in the first couple of posts to see what you want. There's a lot of different cabs in there too, to skin different things, calculator, diff TB's, WMP, etc, etc. But you need to read to see what you want. I don't mean to sound like a PITA, but what I may like you may not. I happened to run the dusk theme, but with a different clock array than Darren, because I like it better, but can't say that you will. Just read and let me know if you have any other questions on it.

How do you feel about making your ROM public now MAL?

Also... since we are using the windows SMS client, You may want to look at this. Its pretty damn sweet, and shouldnt take up any additional resources or space.
