Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Well, I just wanted to put this out there since some people have asked about it in the past. I decided to test the 1% battery driver with the fast charge package. It's been a long time since i've cooked this mod in, but I thought I would give it another chance. So here are my results. After several days running the 1% battery driver with fast charge, the battery life on the MH Roms are significantly crippled. On average, I got 25% or more less charge time using that package. It was like watching the gas gauge needle on an old blown double pumper v8 muscle car, lol. Using the standard battery percentage and slower charge rate definately gives you a much longer battery life. So for the people who have wondered, or requested that addition, I will be sticking with the standard affair battery percentages and charge rates. I would also suggest not using it as well.

Just enter your data settings manually (for the titanium, so no one gets confused), I know *gasp*......

Thanks, glad your liking it.
Can someone provide a link for instructions about how to enter data/connection settings manually for Sprint? Thanks

Just go to start/setting/connections/connections and setup a new connection under my ISP, add a new modem, the number is #777, leave username/pass/domain blank, then let er rip.

DOH! Seriously?! I had no idea that's what the provisioning cabs did... Been doing the ISP #777 data connection setup manually for years on my older WinMo phones. Thanks!

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

I am trying out the Titanium only ROM. I cannot seem to find a Verizon provisioning CAB. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I also cannot find the link for IE? It is on titanium home page, but not in the Start>Internet Folder. That folder is empty.

Thanks fo the help.

Doug M.

Edit: Sorry. Found the Verizon CAB in the wiki pages for Mighty Mike.

It might do other stuff too but at least this gets the data going.

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Just flashed the Titanium-only ROM, manually entered my data connection settings, and installed the misc cabs and customizations I prefer. I've disabled Titanium and use the "old today" screen, since this seems to be my preference these days...

Even with my corp exchange sync and security settings configured, I have over 110MB of free RAM after soft reset! Everything is quite snappy and I'm pleased.

I had been using Silence/Super-ROMs lately because they have less "stuff" in them and tend to run with more available memory. But the MH Titanium ROM has even more memory available and has some of the 6.5.x features, other refinements, and color schemes that I prefer. Not sure if it's faster or slower -- "feels" about the same responsiveness to me. Good work (again) Dibbs!

PS: The Titanium ROM still has the double-backspace button assigned to ArkSwitch which isn't installed in the ROM. I prefer ArkSwitch anyhow so I installed the most current version which now works correctly with the button as Dibbs has configured it....

Yeah, I used the X2 taskmanager for the titanium, because of the smaller memory footprint. Tried to squeeze as much out of it as I could without losing usability. I also forgot to remove the double tap for arkswitch, oops....

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Is there a way to disable the X2 taskmanager running on the Titanium ROM? I'm using Arkswitch and don't need to have it running in the background.

Also -- can't seem to get my bluetooth working thru the comms panel. When I try to turn it on, it stalls for a few seconds and then generates a dialog that says "Can't turn on Bluetooth". Anyone else having that problem? Not sure if it's an issue with the ROM or I broke it with a can I installed

BT was working when I had the titanium loaded, but I don't have it on either of my tp2's atm (been doin some playin the last couple days). Delete the lnk in the \windows\startup folder and then soft reset to stop X2 from starting.
