Re: [DISCONTINUED]01-13[KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23518-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]
One other note - in case it matters - I did an install of the new image from SD rather than using the rom builder over USB. Could this make a difference? I thought it was not supposed too.

The error says to see HTCLOG and not HTC Clock as I thought. Same error after Task29.

It shouldn't matter whether you flash from SD or USB. Check out this site. I used to grab builds from here all the time when I used this kitchen. For the most part, they are ready to drop in the kitchen and go.
http://joojoobee666.ppckitchen.org/Kitchens/?C=M;O=A It's usually kept up to date with the newest released builds. If you're unsure how to insert them into the kitchen, check out this post by Lat that really helped me out a lot. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=2821

Look in the TOOLS folder for patched shell32.exe. Open this and point it to SYS\23518\Shell\shell32.exe\S000 and click Start. This should fix the beta issue.
HTLOG error, If memory serves me right was a problem with some UC config. on memory card. Maybe try flashing via USB with out memory card installed.

Re: [DISCONTINUED]01-13[KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23518-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]
Tonight I did as JBT suggested and this corrected the timebomb. Ran kitchen against patched files, installed via USB without SD card in and I have my first working TP rom build! From here I want to learn how to shoehorn in new builds, figure out how programs get into ROM versus RAM if this is even the case, and how to trim down RAM usage. Ram with this build is 48M which seems low for other Titanium only builds. So from here is it onward and up with more adventures! Thanks to JBT, LAT and Sharkie for their help in getting me started with this kitchen.

Do you mean you have 48 MB free or in use? Have you downloaded a new build yet? Let me know and I will walk you through adding it to kitchen. Last edited by Jbradthomas; 09-01-2010 at 12:19 AM. |

Hey jbradthomas,
Can you save me a little time perhaps and throw out some names of some of the packages that you found to be causing memory leaks? |

Not sure if you use same packages, but I have narrowed it down to one of these five. HTCScroll 2.0.20132230.0 Menu Enhancement 1.1.20171128.00 Message Enhancement 1.2.20153525.00 Resource Proxy 1.0.20153619.00 Shared Modules 1.01.20153030.00 I started by looking at folder size. HTCScroll 2.0.20132230.0 = 99.7 KB, HTCScroll 2.0.19201130.00 = 48.2 KB. My feelings is why use a larger package if everything still works. Sometimes recmod or reversemod can corrupt packages to. I think bugs in ROMs can also cause memory problems. If something wants to work but can't it slowly eats memory. Hope this will help you. Please ask if I can help anymore. I'am still trying to learn about memory to. Its alot of trial and error. Everything I read has a different opinion. Guess thats what keeps us chefs unique. |
