Re: JD's Clean Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM & Kitchen (Updated sept.4)

i've tried using connection sharing but it doesn't seem to work. always says to check the usb cable. it worked when the prompt at plug-in was enabled. is there a certain procedure i should use to get it to work?

no, it should just work. Try checking/unchecking the advanced networking. Also, you can try a different cable.

@tom6433

I connect using ActiveSync first, then once connected I run Internet Connection Sharing and click Connect and it just works...

I would prefer to have the pop-up that gave you the 3 optoins: ActiveSync, Storage Card, or Internet Sharing. It is just one less step to have to go through. I have yet to find that.

I felt the same way - but now I am getting used to it - I have SPB Mobile Shell and added a link on my home screen for internet connection sharing and one for USB To PC so I can quickly and easily switch them up

One benefit of not having the pop-up is that is one less screen tap you have to make if it is already set to what you want. I usually connect with ActiveSync so I just leave it on that and that way when I connect all I do it plug it in, no need to tap any option or do anything further. It's also annoying when it used to pop up when I was just connecting it to power, like in my car.

Also, JD said there were conflicts with it, so if leaving out eliminates a bug then I think it's worth leaving out.

I'm sure he'll add it back in once the conflict is resolved.

Re: JD's Clean Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM & Kitchen (beta updated sept.9)

How does this build compare to your 23409 build? That build is awesome especially with the speed.

dyslexia strikes again - the rar file says 23405 - but it is actually 23045 - right?
