This is not going to screw up the phone for the fact that I was Alltel, now it's Verizon? Does that matter at all with anything?

it probably does as this is for alltel. has alltel provisioning done to it. you could run it and see what it does. if your phone already has this rom on there already try connecting to the internet or sending out a mms. im sure there is a verizon provision cab you could find if you really like this rom.

well that's what I'm saying... It's an alltel HTC Touch Pro, I was with alltel with this phone before verizon, now when Verizon absorbed alltel, I'm with them now, but it was originally an alltel phone now being used on the verizon network... known what I'm saying?

yes, exactly... so do you think this is a good rom for my Alltel phone, now on the verizon network? or do you think it will mess something up and brick the phone. That's my quandry... what do you think? Will it freak it out or do you think it's ok to use? I'm thinking it should work, but I'm kinda scared to do it LOL OR should I find a Verizon rom and use that? what do you think?

My thoughts exactly! But, to be fair, if you have a TP, you already own Windows, and you are just getting the update that HTC won't give you.

I have Altell TP, still have Altell plan, but provider is Verizon. This Rom should be fine for you to try. I use NRGZ on my TP and TankROM on my wife's.
Do the flash dance. Then flash this ROM. Hard reset. When setting up to use do *228, let that finish, soft reset.
Go communications setup enter "phonenumber@vtext.com"
Do the rest of your setup as usual.
You may also, consider changing to a Verizon Radio, I use 1.03.09v
