What up guys, just a few questions.
1. My phone is already unlocked and running on MetroPCS, so can i just skip the unlocking process, or do i need to unlock it again.

2. Mighty ROM is cool and all, but i want to upgrade to WinMo 6.5, i love it and think its really cool, Can i just find the .cab file for it, and install it on my HTC TOuch Pro, and install it. Will it work? or am i missing some steps. I know i have to go through RUU, but you know what i mean. I just want to make sure if i install MightyRom, that it will work with my MetroPCS/Touch Pro

I have watched all the walk throughs and they are great, but i am still a little lost, and just need to be steered in the right direction. Thanks for your time.

I don't want to brick this, so i am trying to be very cautious, and yes i have searched this forum, but there isn't really anything for MetroPCS HTC touch pro stuff.

To make sure your phone is unlocked, you have to put it into bootloader mode and see what spl version you have. While the phone is on, hold down the power button and volume down button, then tap the reset button on the bottom of the phone. Dont let go of the power button and volume down button until you see the tri-color screen (bootloader mode). SPL 0.37.0000 = locked. SPL 0.37.CMONEX = unlocked.
You can't upgrade to 6.5 without flashing a rom. There is no cab for it. There are good tutorials on ppcgeeks for setting up your metropcs after flashing a custom rom. All of the custom roms will work on metro. You will just have to setup up the data connection and the the MMS.

yea as razor said i would make sure your phone is unlocked first before proceeding with the process of flashing.....

Okay so i did that, and turns out its locked...how is that possible? I thought it had to be unlocked to run MetroPCS. Oh well, so i guess i need to follow that video. I also went to that link, didn't really help much, since there wasnt a .Cab file to download. I couldnt get PHM regeit to install on my PC anyway.

Gonna watch your tp video, even though it says Diamond on the youtube page, i can use this for TP right? If i follow this, will i still be able to use MetroPCS, even if i don't have a .cab file for it. I can't find one anywhere, that link didnt have one. I just want to make sure that if i follow that walkthrough, that i will be okay. I don't want to brick this, or have a phone that doesn't make calls. I dont have sprint, only MetroPCS and prefer to keep it that way.

It is a common misconception that the touch pro needs to be unlocked to run on a different carrier. It's because you can unlock GSM phones to work on other carriers.
