How To unlock and flash with Video Walk Through! - Page 18

I am really interested in trying to flash my phone and load a new ROM to speed up my phone. Noticed an offer to maybe do a walkthrough using skype or something like google video chat. Any help would be really appreciated. I am really new at this and just nervous about "bricking" my phone. I am currently reading up on the forums and just trying to build a better understanding of exactly what the process is for my HTC PRO.

hi i feel like i have try every rom for my verizon htc touch pro that i can get my hands on and for some reason every time it just gives me the update error and i just today went to to the newest normal verizon rom and it still seems to do the same thing and its driving me nuts because i would like to go to wm 6.5 on my htc touch pro i think the most recent number mentioned on the error update is 262 can anyone tell me what is here and why is not let me go to custom roms what it basically does is it does everything upto the part where it would start updating to the new rom and then it stops responding or something it just stays at 0% and then after a bit give me the whole error update thing i was thinking something since i knownest that the unlock screen on my mine is Raphael 500 and not 800 like on some other screen shoots of other peoples flash things does that make a difference if so where can i get the rom to go to 800.

I can walk you through it on messenger, if you really need it. But, if you just go to the first link in post 1 and follow the preparations and instructions you might surprise yourself and see how easy it is. yours is RAPH500 cause it's a verizon TP. They are all that way. It's the model number.

Have you unlocked your phone yet? does it say 0.35.cmonex on the tri-color screen?

i already have hard spl and flash it with custom rom but i cant make the phone work on metropcs still in sprint what else do i have to do?

unlocking and flashing a custom rom is not needed. you have to reprogram the phones EPST settings and load a metropcs prl and bring it to a metropcs store that runs the Houdini program to add the phone to the metropcs system. there are tutorials on doing all of this in the touch pro section.

Hi, thanks for this walk through. I'm trying to back up my data before i unlock but after i install the data_backup.cab i can't run it. It says: The file 'backup' cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

I'm a noob at this and i want to try a different ROM and Radio on my Touch Pro.

When it asked "where would you like to install this program, Device or Storage Card?"...which did you choose. Only reason I'm askin is maybe it has to be installed to device. I'm not too familiar with that backup program. I would use Microsoft MyPhone insted, if i were you. Just a suggestion

I know i installed it FROM the storage card but not sure if i installed it TO the storage card. Is there a way to find out? how do i uninstall it so that i can install it to the device? Also where can i get MS MyPhone? Is it free? I'm pretty new to this stuff. I haven't done mods to my touch pro since i got it but it's running sluggish and reception isn't great so i want to see if changing the ROM and Radio will help.

when you put a cab file on your phone, then you open File Explorer on your phone and go and click on the file, it ask where you want to install it. Just go to Remove Programs in your Settings and remove it and re-install it, since you can't remember.
