Someone mentioned a few pages back that the comm manager would break up in landscape... Not that I really use the comm manager a lot and even less in landscape but I gave it a try and yep, breaks for me too.

No issue for me. I installed all the Rhodium components on mine and everything works including comm manager in landscape. Best Rhodium setup I've had yet. I just compared my colleagues touch pro with silence V3.3 rhodium against my installation with DCD .96 and the DCD rom with Rhodium BLOWS silences away for speed. It's so obvious with the phones side by side that scrolling with the slider is way faster/smoother on DCD rom. Also, silences has some quirk with album, such as photos taken in landscape not turning in manilla preview. I have none of the issues, just smooth and perfect. If I have a chance I'll redo my rom setup and make a sprite self-extracing backup for you guys. Then you could just download the sprint restore file and run it on top of your .96 DCD. You'll see, the best rhodium setup out there thanks to DCD's excellent base.

I used to use DCD's rom exclusively on my Titan before getting my TP. For some reason though the update process stops at 76%. I remember running into this before in the early days of flashing my Titan, but can't remember it. For now i've been running 'Juice' with the old manila.

I don't use rhodium or any kind of manila so I don't know if that's what makes the difference...

Could you just list what you installed to get it working?

I have mine up but my texting via the new contact card is a little off. the text box covers up the last msg.

I already listed the cab files. Check my previous post where I listed the patch files. My texting works fine, no overlap issue. I know what you're talking about, as I've seen it with other roms. Installing the V1B patch will fix that. Actually I didn't need that patch with my Rhodium. I guess maybe I used a different build than you did. Anyway, install that V1B patch, the CDMA fix, and programs tab 3 ICON patch. The file names are in my older post, too lazy to find it.

- Install 'xmod policy-reboot.cab'
- Install 'sdkcerts.cab'
- soft reset
- Install 'XBmod_VGA_Rhodium_Manilla FIX V1D.cab'
- Install 'HTC New Contact Card.cab'
- soft reset
All of the above were part of the 'Manilla_65.rar' package
- Install 'HTCalbum.cab' which is Album 3.0 version
- Install DCD Audio manager from DCD cab link
- Install 'YouTube Tech1 21xYx 6.5.cab'
- Install 'Showaco All_Programsv4.1_3Icon.cab' shows progam tab and fixes sticky soft buttons
- Install 'StartMenu.cab' gives 4 column rows in 'All programs' - optional
- Install 'xbmod_CDMA_FIX_2.cab' - fixes 'sim card' message when sending text messages
- Install 'xbmod Manila fix V1B.cab' - Didn't need this with my build, but fixes text message overlap
- Install 'sms160.cab' from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=884 - fixes sms character limit

gotcha. I installed the V1D build, latest one on XDA? I only needed the show programs cab, 4 row showaco cab, cdma 2 fix. Oh well, works fine. i'll stumble upon how to fix that later. msging through the contact card is slower anyhow, so I dont use it much. Plus it still has the glitch where it will only show 88 characters. so BAh!

I flashed the newest mighy rom 4 last night and it only stayed on for 5 mins. My unbiased review is that it's very fast as well, but it has the texting lag. However, you can tell that he's been tweaking his rom for longer. Opera Mobile was very fast. scrolling was so smooth. I'm sure those little things will get only get better in DCD's roms. I prefer Mighty's icons, but DCD doesn't. I'll have to find some custom icons. Actually, the best Icons I've seen so far are in NSFan's 6.5 rom on XDA. I just liked his black themse and icons. If somebody has those copied that'd be sweet.

I swear I'm spoiled with the no texting lag. Other roms probably have some little features here and there that make the rom nicer feature wise, but I'm in love with no texting lag. I've spent several hours looking up all the cabs and customizations myself the last couple of days.

Don't forget the SMS160.cab to fix sms limit. I edited my previous post with the link to it.

Edit: Make sure you set a 24MB pagepool. Makes things smoother, especially with Rhodium Manila running.

Edit2: Hmmm, seems that sms160.cab doesn't fix the sms 88 character limit in Rhodium. Still looking.
