Maybe someone can help me out with this. For the first time I'm trying one of the Max Manila ROMs. Anyone know of a fix that puts the large pop up icons back down where they are supposed to be? I attached a pic below...

And forgive me if I'm wrong, but I know this is a VGA device. So why do I have to have Max Manila set to WVGA in order to get the 4 icons, (call hist, messaging, mail and calendar) to be below the clock and calendar. That would be in my second screen shot.

Clearly something isn't set up right. Since the pop up icons are too high, and the Max icons are too high...

on the hotfile link in energy's post on first page, there's an april 3rd version. looks like it doesnt have maxmanila or cookie so just titanium, but is there any other differences to it?? are these just the first ones he uploaded and there will be cookie/maxmanilla versions later?

also what are the differences for april 2nd from march 31??

im running one back from end of feb or early march and wanna reflash as my phone is just gettin real buggy & slow now :/
tried 2.5 on this last one and i like the extra features, but would go down to sense 2.1 if it was faster. is the 2.1 faster?? or how about the 235 vs 218?

I believe from the home screen you flip up the clock and there should be settings where you can change from wvga to vga. I don't use this rom feature but I believ I have seen this posted as a fix or a way to edit it to the proper screen size.

I think that the update is to fix the gtx theme that was a little off. I flashed from the 3-30 23554 2.5 rom to the 4-2- 23554 2.5 rom and it has a new task manager the screen layout on the menu layouts look cleaner and I've literally been folllowing NRGZ rom releases since he has come here and I'm pretty sure that I'm really the only still here from the begining and I believe this one to be the best and the most complete.

That's the problem. I have to switch it to WVGA to get the four home screen icons where they belong, which is okay... just wierd. But no matter what the pop up icons from the slider are way too high. That's why I was thinking that something is wrong with the cooked in version.

It is a VGA device, and switching to WVGA does fix the icon positions on the home tab, but there is no setting for the slider popup large icons.

Here's my line of thought... with Max set to VGA (which the Herman is) the four home icons, and the big slider icons are too high. So something is wacked with Max Manila thinking it's a different screen size than it actually is. And only one of the two problems can be worked around. There has to be a way to fix Max Manila to work as VGA on a VGA device and have the icons in the right place. Clearly there is a corrupted setting somewhere since setting it to the wrong screen size for the Touch Pro actually fixes one of the issues.

I really don't have any experience with Max Manila, but I do like the setup! Just wish I could get it all to line up correctly.

I'm new to rom updating but as far as I can tell your rom 21895 (Herm) is really good for me. It changed my mind on switching phones. Keep up the good work on CDMA roms!

I really am not liking the new text. It's sharper and more crisp but, it's also small and thin making it hard to read at a glance and if your in daylight its almost impossible to read.

On a positive note I did not have any sync issues at all with the newer roms.

You are my hero. I'll still probably end up flashing a new ROM though, unless this also fixes the overnight lockup "feature". We'll see. Thanks again for the tip though... I knew there had to be a fix.

Edit: Looks good. I think the overall finish can be improved on, but it's nice.
