Re: |TP|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * Energy 'Phoenix 2/Leo' (23542/21892) |Mar 5| Sense 2.1 & 2.
Here's what I've put together so far based on the Energy.HERMAN.21892.Sense2.5.Mar.05 on Sprint This may not work for other carriers. There is Sprint specific info in the registry for the MMS settings.
There may be other or better ways. This is what has consistently worked for me: Revised on 7 March 09 for Less Restarts! Code:
Missing SIM Card: "SMS SIM card error fix.cab" MMS Fix Pt1: 1. Remove Picture Mail and Arcsoft.cab -------------------------------------------------------------- ***Optional*** Installed Cookie Home Tab Installed Internet Speed Hack DAN HTC Touch Fix ## Codes Installed Touch Pro Battery Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Reset Phone MMS Fix Pt2: 3. Install Sprint Arcsoft MMS 5.0.82.79.cab --------------------------------------------------------------- ***Optional*** Cookie Home Tab Editor Restore data from Microsoft My Phone/Sprite Backup/etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Run the 2016 Date Fix: Javulticat 2016 fix.cab --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Optional: Now to Increase Sending Limit to 5MB (Receive Limit is 10MB by default with the above CABs) Open the Registry Editor Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\mm1\MMSCSetting\SprintMMSC Change WAP1SendDefaultSize to 5120000 Change WAP2SendDefaultSize to 5120000 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Reset Phone Thanks to whomever originally created and upped these CAB files. Thanks to Twitmer for this explanation: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...49&postcount=2 of the MMS Limits. When I did the steps I listed above, right after a Hard Reset, I didn't get that error. I have had that 2106 error once before on a different setup I used, but I can't remember what I did to get rid of it, nor what triggers it. Just to verify, you're using the March 5th, 21892 build? |

Does anyone know if the battery issues present on the Feb 26 version were fixed in March 5 versions?

Anyone know how I can get rid of the sms program that is on this ROM and instead use the one with those nice colorful bubble lookin things? (that you can get to by hitting
"all messages" from the today screen). or even the default WM sms? I'm not a big fan of the one that is installed by default on this ROM. |

The first 10-15% seems to drop fairly quick, but after that the battery life seems to stabilize quite a bit. Also, I noticed that NRGZ28's ROMs seem to have the data connection active at all times. By using the Advanced Config program (Start -> Tools -> Advanced Config), Then got to: Menu -> Connections. Here you can select the data connection to automatically disconnect after X number of minutes. This should slow down the battery drain over the course of the day. |

There is no real need to disconnect data.
Data in standby consumes the same as disconnected. Just set all data to manual connect instead of auto. |
