Well to my understanding, most ROMs don't work that way. Probably due to the fact they're running various mixed and matched software that wasn't in the stock rom, and across multiple carriers, so not everything is 100% compatible with every device. The 30 seconds it took to install 2 cab files and from then on have a perfect working rom was WELL worth what I'm seeing now IMHO. Take it or leave it

1 question

When I slide out my keyboard at the home screen, I just get a primarily black screen with the windows button, phone, and menu at the bottom and nothing else really. Is this normal behavior of the rom?

edit : I am using the standard version of the ROM released before the jan 18th version

It may be a bad flash, do a flashdance and see if you have the same issue. This update is worth flashing IMO.

The Facebook app built in? No big deal. Like I said, I didn't know what the cab on the front page for "facebook fix" did, and if it enabled me uploading from Album, all the better.

As for getting rid of Opera at startup, go to \Windows\StartUp\
Remove OM10QS.lnk

Should do the trick...any idea what phcanvga.lnk is? I'll start searching..

It re-positions the window so nothing gets cut off. It's already the Rhodium PhoneCanvas 3.40.35284.0 that Calkulin has in his kitchen. Make sure you have phcanvga.exe in \windows, a phcanvga.lnk in \Windows\StartUp, and that it is running (use fdc taskmanager to check). Sometimes I have had it mess up with the positioning, but be fine the next time after a soft reset.

Looks like that is the purpose of phcanvga. So...leave it But I see no reason to keep the OM10QS (presumably Opera Mobile 10 Quickstart)

I had the same issue.. I'm a noob so no links.. but if you search for Alltel mms on WM 6.5... its the 7th post on the first page. Grab the file, extract, and then transfer to your tp, and install in the folder order. Worked like a charm for me.
