Re: |H|ROM|6.5.3|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (28011/21884) |Dec 4| Sense 2.1 and 2.

Greetings to all. Quick question; can someone tell me what the 21884 is vs 28011? I am at a crossroad and have a Touch Pro (Sprint). I love the 2.5 but have been using the reliable 2.1 versions mostly. 2.5 versions are more experimental for me at this point. NRG really rocks and I am sure that I speak for most of us here in this community that we appreciate his continued effforts at perfecting his roms (I know that I check that Hotfile.com site twice a day at least for updated roms!!!).
Thank you one and all for your assistance.

Curious....Are you running a custom taskbar of any sort, or perhaps used a carrier cab???? The problem you describe with the battery constantly showing 100% is similar to what happens with some devices when a carrier cab is used. Also a long while back someone made a cab to take away the blinking charging icon in the taskbar and it made some users battery icon stay at 100%.

I have never had any trouble like this other than when I used a carrier cab, and I have ran NRG since his first drop here and have flashed about every build since. Does this issue arise out of nowhere or right off the flash? I am assuming it just shows up if you are upset about reflashing afterloading all your goodies.

Either use the dcd carrier cab for Alltel from 10/31/2008 which doesn't include the battery icons, or install a custom taskbar to take care of it.

OR you can try this, I found it in some old notes and I think this fixed it too, but I haven't done it in a long time so I'm not 100% sure this was for the battery issue. Go to HKLM\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps and check the BaseDll value. If it is AlltelphcanOverbmp.dll change it to phcanOverbmp.dll. Soft reset and if I remember correctly that will fix it too.

has their been some hotfix for the t9 that pops up whenever using the hardware keyboard?
I love this rom but t9 just annoys the heck out of me!

Biggest noticable diiference is the Start menu button/taskbar. 21884 is old style top taskbar with Start menu icon in top L corner. This is considered a more stable build more closely mocking MS most released styles. 28011 is the cutting edge new MS beta build released. Taskbar is thinner at top and bottom bar is larger to accomodate for more finger friendly usgae. Start menu icon is now in bottom L corner. There are more subtle diffs but these are the main things anyone notices. 28011 is more finger friendly.

My guess would be that if it is, then maybe something in lumos - if you are using it - may be affecting the kb backlight.

I don't have lumos on my TP and my KB light stays on for about 6 seconds but, if I just hit one of the keys; usually the arrow key, it comes back on.

David
I have a Mogul also. The KB light just behaves differently on the Touch Pro. It ignores all the settings you try and use to have it stay on. It just stays on for 5-8 seconds and shuts off. It of course turns on after you press a key. The annoying thing, however, is that it shut itself off at all.

It's not Lumos, I don't use it, and it isn't a problem only I'm seeing. It is just endemic to the Touch Pro. The keyboard driver in nueKBLight seems to have gotten around this by forcing the backlight to turn back on. You can still see the backlight turn off for a 1/4 second, but then it immediately turns back on.

This nue keyboard driver is the only way I have seen to get the keyboard light to stay on. It worked up to the Nov 9th build (that I tested) but hasn't worked since the Nov 25th build. It does work on 6.5 as Nov 9th was a 6.5 build.

If you have found a way to keep the backlight permanently on or to use the ambient light sensor, please share. Many people would be grateful.
