My guess would be that if it is, then maybe something in lumos - if you are using it - may be affecting the kb backlight.

I don't have lumos on my TP and my KB light stays on for about 6 seconds but, if I just hit one of the keys; usually the arrow key, it comes back on.

I have a Mogul also. The KB light just behaves differently on the Touch Pro. It ignores all the settings you try and use to have it stay on. It just stays on for 5-8 seconds and shuts off. It of course turns on after you press a key. The annoying thing, however, is that it shut itself off at all.

It's not Lumos, I don't use it, and it isn't a problem only I'm seeing. It is just endemic to the Touch Pro. The keyboard driver in nueKBLight seems to have gotten around this by forcing the backlight to turn back on. You can still see the backlight turn off for a 1/4 second, but then it immediately turns back on.

This nue keyboard driver is the only way I have seen to get the keyboard light to stay on. It worked up to the Nov 9th build (that I tested) but hasn't worked since the Nov 25th build. It does work on 6.5 as Nov 9th was a 6.5 build.

If you have found a way to keep the backlight permanently on or to use the ambient light sensor, please share. Many people would be grateful.
