Can anyone please PM me a link to the latest 21864 2.1 build? Currently the only files available on Hotfile are 23504 2.1 or 21864 2.5. After experiencing various problems since flashing to the latest and greatest (including missing several important calls because I was unaware of the ringer issues), I want to go back to a stable build of Windows and Manila.

While I understand the appeal of landscaped manila, I rarely find myself using it. If you need to type texts or surf the web or bust out emails, you can still do all of that with the keyboard in landscape mode. I'm not sure how this ROM looks, but you should still be able to access the start menu which then gives you access to messaging etc...

Okay, FWIW something I noticed about the ringer not working. I am a pretty heavy twitter user and have mine setup to auto update every 5mins and alert via tone and vibrate. The alert only works for a few minutes after each soft reset of my phone. Usually goes off twice and I never hear it again.

Now when I go to change my non working ring tone by disabling sense and going into the system settings my ring tone is always changed to Alert-Twitter for the tone. Seems like this is more than a coincidence? Any one else seeing this occur?

Ringer not working has been well documented. The only sure way around it is to disable tachi dialer and use some other dialers such as WM or some other custom dialers you can find. Hope this helps. You can disable tachi by going into touchpro tweak, in the first section, the one called phone skin or something like that. Hope this helps.

yeah, I just noticed that NGR pulled his 23xxx 2.5 ROMS down. Nothing on his Twitter either. Anyone know what is up?

I agree, if you want 23xxx, Indagrooves 2.5 is pretty good.

Users that see this type of behavior, like when you're in a bad signal area, might also notice a significant battery drain. This is the case for me when I travel to NY to visit family. My device turns on and off looking for a solid signal...and the battery goes to the dumper.

EDIT: I have not really tested changing radios in this environment to see if helps, but would suggest that to folks who are experiencing this frequently. ...I may do it when I travel home for the holiday to see whats up.

Thanks, thats what I figured it was or might have been since mine would do the same traveling on the 15 in San Diego. I have tried a different radio to see if it would help but it still does it in the same areas. So thats why it also leads me to beleive its a signal change from the towers that you are coming in to like you were saying.

I did notice when I was stationed in NY that my battery died faster. It almost lead me to go back to my old treo phone. Good thing I got stationed here in San Diego.

Anyway ya I only use landscape when typing a message, I don't leave the phone sitting around with the keyboard out looking at the clock. NRG is still making a 2.1 with the newer system files, but your going to need some extra batteries.

I'll stick with this current build right now and see how it treats me besides the landscape mode. I rather have more battery power.

Warning: Disabling dialer to fix ringtone issue will disable playback from Kinoma. I listen to all my podcasts streaming from Kinoma Play and when I did the disable trick I lost the sound on the streams.
