Between all of us & NRG we will get it figured out I am sure. Other than that I now have 23088 running like a champ.....
I agree, it's like that annoying fly that keeps bugging you from time to time. So what if i miss a couple calls here and there. . The thing that makes me wonder is how in the world sense can have a conflict on such a simple and fundamental function such as RINGTONES???????? . I can understand footprint not working and all those more advance features. But ringtones? hahaha It won't kill me but maybe I shoudl bring this to sprint and say to them my phone doesn't ring . You think I'll get a new TP2 lik that???? hahahahah

I disable the WM dialer. It is a selection box under PhonEx options. That should take care of the problem you"re talking about.

As it has been said in belief before, Some, Including myself, believe its the tachi dialer. I dont use the tachi dialer myself. I use Idialer. Others use WM Dialer and have no problems. This morning I tried it. I used tachi dialer. as soon as that happened all my ringtones ceased to work. I had to remove tachi dialer again, delete all ringtones and put them back on. now they work again.

glad to see I am not the only one having this problem. I too have this problem. I downloaded the zip file. unzipped and extracted the .wgt file to the phone. in the phone I used both, file explorer, and total commander. I even tried extracting it to /windows/start menu/ programs/ and clicking on it thru the menu. Every time I click on the widget it opens opera and attempts to redownload NRG Files.wgt again. I thought I was the only one, but I guess not.

Well well. I don't really know why you would be having that issue. I just redownloaded it and installed it. Nothing funny in the way I put it together. You may want to try installing the attached Widget Enabler. I did not have to use it to install. But it's worth a try. I can't upload the non-zipped wgt as the file size exceeds what is allowed by the server. If this doesn't work I can throw it up on Rapidshare and post a link.

On another note:

Looks like we aren't the only ones with ringer issues.

FROM ENGADGET:

Droid experiencing external speaker problems, could be a software issue?

It's no reason to panic just yet, but apparently a good amount of people are having trouble with the external speaker on their Motorola Droid cutting out for no reason. It seems to be software-related, and sometimes a reboot fixes it temporarily, but it's a scary problem for people relying on the handset as an alarm clock (or, you know, to receive calls), since you never know when it will strike next. For its part it seems that Motorola is replacing handsets that have the issue, though that's no guarantee of escape from the clutches of silence. Let's hope Motorola updates us with a software patch or some other serious solution soon -- people need to hear that robotic "Droooiiid" alert sound -- and meanwhile let us know if you've been seeing a similar issue.

The energy wallpaper is no longer the default, but as vernonlbrown pointed out name any image maxbackground.jpeg and copy to Windows and you can use that.

RINGER
Just FYI-if you disable the default dialer calling from the Peolpe Tab isnt COMPLETELY disabled. You can use the hard keys to navigate to the number you want and initiate the call with the Send key. May not be perfect but just thought I'd throw it out there.
to change your background picture using the max mod, you can go into yoru settings and select weather wall paper. Then it will lead you to select pictures on your phone. It will replace the default black background with any pic you have on your SD.

Here's is another fix you guys should do. To illustrate, click on the new txt message icon in the messaging tab. Now start typing a name in the to field for a contact which has no email address, just a phone number. The contact will not come up.
Make the following change and try again.

From XDA:

Maybe Root can cab this up as my laptop doesn't have the software I need to do so.
