okay, now i have to search for a potential solution to my current issues. however, if someone has a solution for me, please post up.

here's the gig: i use sms more than almost anything. and, with the nov 4 build of 2.5 manila, it seems like sms takes forever. i'm not positive, but it appears that the history being loading is the entire sms history with whomever i'm texting. old sms (like arcsoft) only held 10 or so, then had an 'older' posts, that you could load at will. this one seems like it loads the whooooooooole thing, like from when i loaded the ROM. so, now, when i try to answer my GFs texts, from the tab, it goes to SMS, then has to spend time loading all the oldness, so it takes forever to see what is happening, to reply, and basically function is, well, for lack of a better word, but without the negatively associated connotations, retarded

any suggestions would be appreciated

You are gonna have to delete your messages or get it down to like 500 or so. As it turns out, SMS really eats RAM as i have learned. I listened to a fellow here....what was his name...WINO? (lol) and the os is way faster. That is really the only way. Sorry man.

actually i was doing through the same thing.. it seems this version corrupts in download extremely easily. it took me downloading 3 times for it not to bootload cycle like it did...


btw nrg i really HATE hotfile specially since how touchy this last download was.. i had to proxy 5 times to get around the wait time. would you like an ftp server you can host everything on? i can give you access onto mine if you like. and if you need i can even purchase a domain to throw it all onto... if so pm me..

oh and the hotfile list pasted on here compared to xda is for hermann... this could be bad for some peeps...

Just an FYI, the Herman is the hardware name for the CDMA version of the Touch Pro.

lmao my bad i see it now it wasn't the name that got me it was that the one on xda is raphael and this one is hermann and the pics are completely different. i forgot the ones on xda are mainly directed for gsm phones... its weird how suddle the differences are .. pfft

just checked over at XDA, and the Rapheal ROM Nov.9 M2.5 is already uploaded for both 21864 & 23504! I reckon that means the Herman versions of those very same ROMs are on the way to use very very soon! Makes staying up till 4am kinda fun and exciting!
