Main ringer is backed up/restored un the Notifications setting not Contacts. Notifications also covers SMS alert sound etc.

Yea, I have Nov 5th near perfect...just fleshing out the last MMS tests. For ringers...I did NOTHING. Off a fresh flash, I did my usual data back up with Active Sync then MyPhone. Then, I installed Keep My Tones and restored my previous settings file. Called myself and my ringer did the vibrate then ring...and the sound was the House Theme NRG cooked in awhile back. All other notifications are coming in fine.

If the fix suggested doesn't work...just load up a ROM that you know works, install Keep My Tones and create a backup of your sounds and notifications. Then, return to this ROM and restore your settings.

Yea, that's it. I'm able to send/recieve texts as well, but I'm still playing with it.

For contact ring tones, if you use pim back up, it will automatically back up the ID pictures as well as any contact specific ring tones or alerts. So once you have them setup and backed up, then you're good to go for future flashes. As far as Keep my tones, Do what threefaces said. You need to have all the settings done to you liking first, then back up. From that point on, you just need to import to your phone after flashing or hard reset. It has worked for me even coming from 2.1. Good luck.

I want to add a +1 to the keyboard issue described below. Anyone know of a solution?

Also, does anyone know how to change color of the message count number background that appears over your text or mail icons (in standard mode, manilla)? I find the blue color easy to miss, and would like to change them back to yellow to stand out more. Thanks for any advice.

There is a fix - use "Juicy47 Western EZInput" - it's in the files attached to this thread works perfectly.

nots ure ifs just me but on the nov 5 21864 and when i go to contacts the letters on the side seem to be cutoff a bit on the bottom of each letter

Finally got it to unlock after flashing back and forth between SprintTouchProMR2.01.651.6 and Hermann_C_SPRINT_WWE_1.03.651.3_RS1.03.15F_SPCS_1. 53_PRL6063_Ship.
So weird.

I found it after posting, but unfortunately it didn't work. Odd error message: "... cannot be installed. To try installing again to a different location, choose a different location." I tried both options -- device or storage card, both with enough space -- and no go. =( Very odd.
