Hey will somebody help me. I flashed mighty rom on my touch pro but seen that energy rom seemed more appealing. I downloaded energy rom off this page and it downloads fine but when i try to flash it on to my touch pro it says like cant work on this pda device. Wondering am i doing something wrong plz help.

Try starting your device in bootloader mode before running the ROM update.
To get into bootloader mode (Tri-color screen) - Soft reset then immediately hold power and volume down.

recheck that you downloaded the Herman rom if that doesnt work try going back to stock and then flash to energy

Ok first things first. When you flashed from the other custom ROM you mentioned, did you flash back to the stock ROM, Hard Reset, flash NRG () Hard Reset ? If not, do it. Your issue seems flash related. The hard resets and flashing back to the stock ROM before flashing a new ROM are all required to clear your system for a fresh flash. ThreeFaces has a thread dedicated to this ROM and all its majestic greatness. A link is in his signature. He covers "the dance" that is recomended for a clean flash, as well as many other topics regarding this ROM. It is also packed with links to great goodies for the best ROM ever.....

I would definately flash back to stock, hard rest, flash NRG, Hard reset, then for kicks give it a soft reset for good measure. If this doesn't work, holla back!

That should fix the problem. If you don't do the dance, the hard resets will likely follow you from ROM to ROM, as was my experience. This happened the first time I flashed and hasn't happened since. Please let me know if that doesn't address the issue for you. Hard resets should not be happening on any ROM.

I've never had my device ever do a hard reset ever and I've used EnergyROMs since they were made for the Herman, plus other custom ROMs before it. I've never flashed to stock since my first custom ROM experience. I guess if my device was having some odd problems like hard resetting its self I'd try flashing back to stock for a moment.

I agree though, the ROM is solid, there is no random hard reset bug in EnergyROMs.

Hey guys - Tried Manila 2.5 last night and trust me, I don't think you want it. At least not in the state it was in on the tests I did. It is really buggy. I can guarantee you that if the Manila isn't any better than the version I tested, NRG WON"T put you through it. If you want to test it for yourself go to:

This "Flash back to stock/reset/flash new rom" fix DOES work. I was just as skeptical about this method at 1st since it shouldn't matter in cases, but it DEFINITELY works!! I have't had to do this for some time now myself, but when i 1st started flashing ROM's, i hit a point after so many flashes in a ROW (flashed a few noted roms, flashes a few MightyROM's, then found out about EnergyROM) and was getting random resets like posted here or glitches, and so i did the flash stock trick, and it fixed it 100% of the time i tried it as well as 2 friends of mine's phones.

Many thanks to EnergyROM!!! Can't wait til the new one is released, it's driving me crazy!! LOL. Tired of my friend bragging with his TP2 and new EnergyROM released for his, all he talks about now pretty much.

I want to say this about EnergyROM's. I love them!! I have personally tried other rom's since, some real recent with a newer tf3d version (but 1 before the newest JUST released) and even with WM6.5.1, because i THOUGHT i wanted to have all the new 6.5.1 feature's, but as nice as they are, i still (no more then a 1/2 a day at most) find myself re-flashing back to EnergyROM, even with less feature's of not having 6.5.1 YET and not using newer TF3D versions just released, and my friend thinks the same way about his TP2 on verizon and EnergyROM's. I just find that overall, with the performance, the apps included, the layout of the menu system and folder's, the look of icons used, the background's, just honestly EVERYTHING about it OVERALL, it is agreeably THE best ROM out there for everyday use!!!! Even when trying newer ROM's with 6.5.1 and newer released TF3D, I seem to always find SOMETHING i just don't quite like about that ROM, or setup, or SOMETHING that i miss about EnergyROM and end up going back. So, Thank you for making EnergyROM!!!!! And hopefully you don't give up on us TP users anytime TOO soon. I'm not ready to fork out buying a TP2 since i just forked out 3 months ago for my TP1. Granted i do love my friend's TP2 and all (bigger screen, bigger keyboard i love) i am still content with my TP1 for a while.
But once the VGA's are released for mine, with the new stuff, i will be content for a while anyway. SO MANY THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit- BTW, the ROM mentioned above by Ahuskins is one of the rom's i was mentioned that i tried, although it didn't seem that buggy to me overall, as all the rom's we use are in beta stages and the bugs aren't usually anything too severe. I still find myself going back to EnergyROM for overall config and setup and style.

This is starting to sound more like an SD card problem. Maybe a corrupt filesystem on it. May want to try and back the card up, reformat it then reload it...
