Remap Manila softkeys via registry:
HKLM/Software/HTC/manila/
HomeLSKPath, which is the left softkey (Standard = Phonepad)
And
HomeRSKPath, which is the right softkey.
If you change these with the location of the programs you want to link to, and simultaneous change the names:
HomeLSKText = Left softkey text
And
HomeRSKText = Right softkey text.


Vibrate on connect is in sounds and notifications.
Mine vibrates on connect and disconnect.
Check the box. Works here.

SMS shows in the standard winmo screen or the manila screen.
I prefer manila while many others prefer winmo.

This is the one I use. I didn't have anything to do with creating it, but it works and looks great!

ROOT, when you talk about "vibrate on connect", do you mean the data connection or the phone call? The setting you posted will vibrate the device if you connect to or disconnect data, but will not enable vibrate on connect when initiating a phone call...which is what I thought folks were looking for.

Vibrate on call connect worked, softly, on the last build, but is not enabled now...nor is the setting present in "Advanced" phone settings.

I haven't figured out how ot get it working...the reg edits that control it seem to be enabled, but the feature isn't happening.

Anyway, I saw the post and wanted to clarify.

Damn. No wonder this wasn't working. That is rather disappointing, but my phone is so much faster without the Tachi Dialer.

I know I have seen it somewhere before, but wanted to share. The "my location" weather feature is definitely a nice. I read somewhere that the reason some people are having problems with it either randomly working or not working at all has to do with your carrier provisioning cab. I have tried a few different ones (DCD, NFSFAN...), but out of all the ones that I have tried none of them have worked consistently.

The only thing that I have found to work is to leave my wifi connection active, and then it works every time. Hope a fix comes for this at some point, cause wifi really drains the battery.

By the way, great rom!!!!!!!!

Just feeding my curious mind - when you go to the Weather Tab and select the right soft key "Menu" to get to Settings, do you have "download weather automatically" and "show weather at my location" both checked off? ...and it doesn't work? Will it do anything if you select "Update" from the Weather Tab? Does the little GPS icon start turning and then it fails?
Just trying to get a better understanding of the problem is all.

What I'm wondering is, in the cases where enabling wifi all of the time helps, whether or not the tab is actually updating [turning on the data connection automatically and checking].

I don't see Voice Command though? I went to use my bluetooth and seen it wasn't gonna happen.

Curiosity question. My old ppc6700 used to default to the dialer screen. If you wanted the windows side you had to hit the home button to activate it. Otherwise when you exited out of everything, you were back to the phone dialer. Is there a registry edit that I just can't seem to find anywhere that I can get it to do that?
