I updated my PRL to 653, and GoogleMaps found me in a few seconds. Is that known to cause problems?

Its strange because before I flashed 9/20 I had all the exact same PRL and radio as before so it has to be something else causing this issue. Where can I find different PRL's to use?

So you didn't flash a different radio to see if that'd fix it?

I'm with you...I was using the SAME radio as you. I flashed the previous build and was having all sorts of GPS issues that I couldn't figure out. I eventually changed to a different radio and it fixed the issue. I also didn't understand how I could use a radio without issue and then all of a sudden, it's causing me headaches.

Humor me, and try flashing a completely different radio just to see if it solves the problem. Flashing the radio will take all of three minutes and you'll kow right away if it's better.

Sorry I forgot to mention I flashed to the 1.03.15 radio and still the same problem. I'll double check the GPS settings for Google Maps and Bing and let you know.

Just leave it up to the Cab Man A.K.A. Young Pro!! Here ya go home skillet...

HDWall_v0.25b.zip

The First one is to create your own. And It creates a cab for you to install on your phone. Even comes with directions.

Superboy007 BG4ALL Manila 2.1.cab

This second one I have never used but it was recommended by another user. So try them both if you want. I use the first one and it works perfectly. Hope this helps.

Cool...just curious. Sorry it didn't work, but I definitely wanted to check since I'd just read that other post that referenced issues with 1.12.xx radios.

I'm still leaning against the PRL being the cause, only because I updated it too and I'm fine.

We're not far from each other location wise - my office is in Rosslyn, VA...if you're in DC. I'm using the 1.03.09 radio with the 653 PRL update, and AGPS enabled, and I'm doing fine.

GPS Settings: COM4
After flashing to the lastest version of EnergyRom, the GPS worked fine on my phone with the stock Verizon radio. I updated to 1.12.34F the other day and it is still working fine. I am using the stock PRI and PRL (51540). I did notice that the GPS locks were happening faster with the new radio.

I also found it interesting when I connected to a WiFi network earlier today and updated the weather that it said I was in a different country!

Re: |HERM|ROM|6.5|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Genesis' (23016) ** | Built Sep 20th | Manila 2

I just updated the Guide for the September 20th Build...linked in my sig or here:

http://www.cyberonic.com/~threefaces...20build%5D.pdf

Lots of new stuff in here...and a lot under construction. I'd love to start a thread with this information posted, so we could direct new users to one place to get most of the basics covered.

If any of you advanced geekers want to browse through it, I'm always open to suggestions and edits. If something is wrong, unclear, or misleading, let me know.

Thanks!
