OK, here's the dealeo on the facebook app. It will display the pictures in news feeds and other areas so long as there is a contact with a picture in your contacts. Look in the news feeds and find one which is just a silhouette. Now check your contacts. Either that contact wont be there or won't have a picture assigned. To fix add the contact and link to facebook saving photo's.

Edit: Well that was what it SEEMED to be now not so much. I found another contact who's pic didn't show up. and linked his contact card to Facebook. Still can't get his pic to show up in News Feeds. As a side note all pics DO show up on the status screen. HMMMMMMMM!

@root - I should have known better than to try that widgets thing. Especially after reading ahuskins account of what happened.

Nonetheless, I did. After removing the prg, I had lockups - so I did a hard reset (running 9/5). It wouldn't get past the initial Touch Pro splash screen. Flashed to stock Sprint (shipped), then reflashed the 9/5 image you provided night before last.

After some time getting all my apps installed (still haven't gotten Sushimi configured), I went to bed.

When I got up this morning, phone was running, but everything was gone... Just as though I'd performed a hard reset. I've read a few posts about phones hard restting on their own, but this was a stock image flashed to NRG 9/5 - which was working the day before.

Is there something obvious I'm missing? While having to reinstall because of a random HR is frustrating, the most concerning thing is not know why it happened - or if it can happen again. I was late to work since it had cleared my alarms.

on this ROM once an account has been created i can't go back in and make changes. for example if i had mistyped my password. i would get an error saying it can't login but have no way of making the changes.

Hey dude...this is whats up.

1.Go to your Mail Tab.
2. Open the Inbox of one of your accounts
3. With the Inbox open, press the "Menu" softkey
4.Scroll down to "Tools"
5. Select "Options"

Viola. From this screen you can select any email account on your device and adjust the prefs...like sync schedule, storage, etc.

There is an option with a check box that says "Display Account Picker When Opening Messaging"...Check this...enable it...turn it on.

Doing so will address a bug and will also bring this "Picker" up the next time you go to "Menu - Accounts - Accounts" from the Mail Tab.

This is what you're looking for, right?

OK, I reinstalled the Facebook app. No dice on fixing its ills. News feed tab still hit or miss as to bringing up pics. However on the status updates tab the SAME contact will show pic. Also the "ViewProfile" when you tap on a friend under "News Feeds" doesn't work but DOES on the "Status Updates" tab. I guess MS has some bugs to work out.

I really liked the widgets, but I had two complaints:
they were sometimes unresponsive
when I selected a widget it took me to the regular/windows version of the screens, instead of the manilla ones. There might be a way around that, but I didn't keep it installed for long enough to play with it some more.
The app definitely has some potential though and I might try it again once I have more time.

@erkme - I've only had that happen once, when I didn't flash to stock between custom ROM's. Leave it for now and see if there is any other errant behavior. AND get that Sashimi going!! Good Morning!

winmonewbie, thanks for your response. i've been through all of those options. in past versions i was able to do this. in this version when i select accounts from picker i get the account inbox.

check out ThreeFaces response. he responded with what i needed. but seriously, thanks again for your response. i was getting desperate.

Mernin dudes.

...Facebook app stinks, I wouldn't waste too much time trying to figure it out. On the news feed, one dudes pic shows up, but it's not in the status feed. Photo stream never seems to load...and to be honest, the functionality of the app isn't up to par. Check out someone's new iPhone app...it does everything.

I've settled to go to Facebook through PIE or Opera and do my business. ...my super important Facebook business.
