So if you didnt install THAT one that would be my first step and if the custom slider is a program you've had for awhile there is strike 2 since the 2.1 "safe" mods are new

I use this one. Install the cab, then slide over to settings and hit home wallpaper. It'll ask if you want to use the default wallpaper. Hit no, then scroll thru and find your picture. The cab I posted will give you the background on all tabs. Hope this helps!

Alright, now you should have the cab removed. So now we'll put on the dcd carrier cab for Verizon.. You can get that here:

It's the last one on that page. Ok, now that that's done we'll put back on the Verizon specific ARCSoft cab:

Alright, now that that's done stop and see where you're at. The taskbar fixes shouldn't be necessary anymore and a quick search will give you the sms160 cab download if you don't have that (I've never had a problem with it).

You still may want to reflash before doing this at this point since I take it you've already redone your taskbar to a way you may not like? Let me know how it goes

After doing this (I have reflashed and tried these exact step about 10 times now), it still says "originator address not found."

One other thing, you did not mention changing the MMS settings to use "NETWORK" instead of "Verizon Wireless". And, in order to do that, you have to change the UI registry key for "enableserveredit" to "1". Right?? Or is this my problem...?

I lave one other question. (for now lol) The lock function, (slide to unlock) that comes with the rom. is there a way to access setings, so that i can have it come on automaticly like when backlight goes of or when i power on device i dont see these settings anywhere, I'd like to use this rather than S2U2 since its already there.

I personally have never had to do that. I've never even heard of it actually ^_^* But its a step in the right direction, so I'm not sure it's actually causing your problem. Sill, my suggestion would be to reflash just one more time, and try using *just* these settings I suggested above, and see if that works

I take it you're talking about the Windows Mobile 6.5 slide lock? You can access its settings by going to Start > Settings > Lock.

You can set up how many minutes before its locked and the password to get into it (a password is required for Windows S2U).

I don't know if its still a problem but there were lots of complaints that the Windows S2U gets in the way of Tachi Dialer, making it impossible to answer a call. If you really want to use S2U you might have to remove Tachi Dialer and go to the windows stock dialer. I really don't know if its been fixed yet so its all just an assumption on my part. But that's why there was originally and still is a version of EnergyROM 1 with Tachi Dialer and one that just uses the stock Windows Mobile dialer.

I suggest either S2U2 or PocketShield.
I know you said you want the built in lock but I don't think it will work that way.
Used to not like PS but after a second try it is pretty good.

S2U2 is however free and is really good.

Either will do what you are asking.
If you install one of them, it will be there too.
