hey uscc peeps, did you flash to the new 2.5 and you have sms and mms working? i'm downloading now..

I didn't use any cabs should work out of the box for sprint.

My buddy has sprint and we use the same cabs on 2.1. I just have to go into the MMS menu and change to USCC, other than that we use the same cabs or we have no pic mail. He says he does not need the cabs on 2.5. I am having a hell of a time today. Can't get my GPS to work with any of the latest ROMS! help

I have not tried a 2.5. I like a home screen in landscape and probably will not try it. Does your GPS work with these ROMS?

yes it does, but im on the latest sprint radio as well, i remember reading back that the newer windows build you need a newer radio then the stock uscc radio. check out my guide for uscc for more info on radios for uscc (in my sig). for the gps to work

also make sure your location setting is on.

i currently am running the dec 24 28011 2.1 and loving it. i probably will not flash to the 2.5 (was only going to test it out then flash back) but i don't have time today.

on the new 2.5 update SMS works fine, with and without the JD Arcsoft (About to test MMS) but SMS does NOT work in the threaded 2.5 sense's UI (Though it looks 29382983 times better than how it was before, and its much faster ) But if you click compose message and write an SMS it will send, haven't tried in classic winmo texting yet

So basically, if you click on their name and the threaded UI pops up, your text will save itself in the outbox and screw up your conversation with that person and just leave a phone number, but if you go to traditional and not conversation mode in Sense's texting, its fine. Or if you send your SMS through the "Compose Message" on the conversation tab its fine. Hope this helps

EDIT: Tested MMS and it works fine also

I installed the Max Manila 2.7 ultimate and I like it (other than some alignment issues) how do I run the cooked in version?

I have flashed 5 times today and cannot get my GPS to work like it did with the 23504 from 11-22-09 with the stock USCC radio. I even just flashed back to the same old ROM and it will not work. I am now flashing back to the 28011 from the 24th and I will deal with it. I will put the same Sprint radio that you have in and see what happens. My buddy just sent it to me. Wish me luck!

Just flashed to this ROM for the first time. MMS was not working at all. SMS was working but it was trying to pull from email addresses rather than mobile numbers when inputting names. Also, the home button was not working. I backed out to the previous version 12/21 and working better.

Go with the Dec 24 2.1 or apply the cab. It is attached to the thread. It is named somethingxxxpatch..... similar to the error. If you go with the build from the 24th, search back to find the fix for Opera trying to pop open on ya after a soft reset.


On the NEW jam.......MAN O MAN....what a nice peice of work! Running fast, battery is hanging in there, I am loving the ROM.....except the SMS issue is a killer! I like the way he changed around the send and back buttons in HTC messaging. I am sure NRG will get it fixed asap. The dude is on a much deserved vacation so it may not be real quick. Not having any other issues so far, just can't send SMS out. The new wallpaper is slick as well. Another fine peice work.....especially of blind building!!!
