Thanks for the latest Sense 2.1 port on Dec 21st, so for its my favorite. Is there a way to get the weather for the home screen to update for often like every 30 min or an hour?

Plus can someone zip up the ringtones from the 28014 build so I can put the on the 21885 build?

Thanks for your responses. I was concerned about being unethical or illegal by using someone's intellectual property without paying for it if the license would require it. This came to mind even more when I see that Mighty Mike appears to have run crosswise with the evil empire over his WM 6.5 ROM. So if I understand correctly, everything in these ROMs is in the clear with the licenses, and all I have to do is get over my hesitancy to dive in and risk a brick. (Fortunately I've read enough to realize that things can be done to overcome when things can go badly.) Thanks for your help.

Its not uncommon for Chefs to get those type of hoax letters. I am sure they all get them at some point, just some of them don' give and the issue fades. Happy flashing brother!

Correct, don't let that letter that took Mighty Mike's site down trouble you any. There have been hoax letters of that type sent for a long time. If MS REALLY had a problem with these ROMs, you'd see this entire Upgrades section of this forum be shut down. The folks here at PPCGeeks have done their homework, to ensure MS is not trying to come down on what is being done here. Actually, we custom ROM users do MS a favor by being unofficial beta-testers .

The only issue you'll have, is that your carrier prefers that you use the stock ROM they gave you. All that amounts to, is that they won't provide in-store service for your device (as in customer support should you have a problem) while it's running a custom ROM or unlocked. So if you ever have hardware problems, flash back to stock, re-lock and then you can get support from them if you choose to involve them.

i personally believe they need to make this information open source, than we can beta test this stuff and let them know where the bugs are, because i would love to be able to get my hands on WM 7

Here use this http://www.hidemyass.com/anonymous-search/ you should be able to go on any site you want !!! As I have had the same problem too on Sprint as well. I can get to the site by phone but not on the computer tethered to phone passed couple of days. I even tried to download to phones memory card so I can view on computer to extract, had issues there as well... But anyway this should get you to where you want to go... ENJOY !!! Also when you search on link above just type in ppcgeeks and do the usual thang you do and download away !!!
