I got my Touch Pro a week or two ago. It is showing radio 1.03.15f. I just wanted to confirm that 1.07.06f is a newer/better radio than the 1.03.15f I currently have. I'm looking to improve battery life.

I appreciate the help.

wow .. u didnt read anything have u ...

your assumption is totally wrong...

each radio works differently .. depending on your geographical area.. there is not one that is better then the other for all..

I decided to try this radio running 1.11f, when I click update it says Image View 1.00.000.0 and not 1.07.06f. I redownloaded the file and same thing.Yes the rar file says 1.07.06f

Actually I read a bunch of this thread. I saw others in Los Angeles who seemed to benefit from going to the 1.07 radio from the 1.11 radio. I didn't see anyone comment on going from 1.03 to 1.07. My question is whether this would be an upgrade for me. I'm on Sprint in Los Angeles.

I appreciate any info.

The orignal stock radio is garbage any of the other ones will be an improvement imho.You should read the radio thread its got lots more info and lots more radios

Very unscientific test -

Using 1.04 I soft reset my Touch pro (on MetroPCS w/o EVDO) and went to www.dslreports.com/mspeed and ran the 100k test 3 times and then the 1mb test 3 times.

D/L speeds were (100k) 106 kbs 119 107 (1mb) 116 133 117

Then I flashed the 1.07 radio (it soft resets after flash) and did the same thing

D/L speeds were (100k) 125 113 118 (1mb) 121 141 127

So this is just sitting at my desk at work (in San Francisco business district) and does not address battery life, ect, ect, ect.... but it is one thumbs up for the new radio.
