Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

Sorry, been away from thread for a while. I have been since using the energy 3.0 titanium rom (almost flawlessly, when I use the windows default dialer that is black, I can't answer phone, have to miss call and then return call. Sucks since I love the look of it with black theme of energy, merdihns black keyboard and black dialer, the tachi white dialer or diamond version of it with rom just doesnt match and have not been able to fix the bug, but 7/29/09 build has black finger board so i'm not using merdinhs) I use the cricket arcsoft cab that does all setup required to work, and it does without any edits.

I have been successfully running a rom on my wifes Diamond, but she reports that net and pic msg no longer works. I havent touched it to see what the issue is, but I will get to it. I believe it is a caulken rom or reeseboy rom, original screen was of the iffel tower or something but changed it to a fire rose image she had (iirc) from the old 4.x juicy rom that was on phone when I got it. This was done quite some time ago and I don't mess with her phone ever, even if it rings. Its hers, we have an unspoken agreement not to go thru each others phones. I only work on it when it has issues, and have been lagging on that.

In energys rom there is touch pro tweaks installed, to deal with crickets time out, I have data connection set to always available, and then set it to disconnect after 1 minute of being idle. It disconnects, then reconnects automatically so that I can reply to post, surf web, or anything else without it timing out and not working when I post something or do downloads.

I am curently working out the bugs to get kleon mothership media rom 7.7 (sprint rom) to work. All good but wont send text as it says SIM card not installed and my phone doesn't even have a SIM card slot.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ricket+arcsoft post for cricket arcsoft but kills your battery icon, shows 100% even if phone wont stay on cuz battery is dead. Going to try and do backup of regestry string and then flash again and install backup to see if i can bypass the cab install killing icon sometime this weekend.

You can goto cdma diamond upgrade forum here and find any generic rom or any rom not labled for att, altell sprint and use the cricket arcsoft cab to get the diamond to work on cricket. You can also download carrier specific roms, make sure your prl is still a cricket prl and use the cricket arcsoft cab to make it work, but it may lead to bugs.

I have noticed that an old 1x prl is required to get crickets *228 ota to fully program and update to evdo prl and set nam settings, but it has only worked on 6.1 roms and not 6.5. Doing any 6.1 rom should allow for the ota to work and then flashing a desired 6.5 generic rom will keep all the espt settings the way cricket ota set them. If you flash a rom that kills cricket espt settings then starting over with a 6.1 and the last 1x prl that worked will get you back to good and flash a 2nd 6.5 rom of choice.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

ok i got the cricket regedit string backed up and working so that my battery icon work, on smoke break and posting from phone, will have screenshots to help noobs get it working for them in the am, but the reg string is in this post. if you would like to work on things yourself til an update can be posted in the a.m. used totalcomander to pull it, then re-flashed and used regedit to import file below.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

geeteedan reason 4.2 is working so fast is it's a non pda program for other phones, using a 9.x opera in most roms is as fast as ie, but ie wont show all of page til all images are loaded. 9.x opera will show page quick, and then will load images and rest of page afterwards. you want a 9.x opera as they are as close to a desktop browser as they come, and things are way better and can handle many downloads at once compaired to ie that does one at a time.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

I've tried to configure wap and mms using many different ROMs without using RyanMoguls Cricket Arcsoft cabs and it just seems impossible to do.
The Cricket Arcsoft cabs are great btw, but they do screw up your battery icon as jpwhre says (battery shows 100% all the time). Heres a fix I found that worked for me.
Go here for files and instructions http://touchprocollection.wikispaces...+Icons?f=print

I installed the cabs below in the following order and my battery icon was working again
sdkcerts.cab
nuePowerDriverCDMADiamond-100-v1.0-cab.cab
FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly.cab

I haven't had time to mess around with the files, but maybe it's possible that just the FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly.cab may work. Maybe someone can check if it does?

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

THANKS TO ALFREDO-X FOR FINDING THESE CABS

These cabs will have your mms, internet on cricket working without any regedits.

1. install remove picturemail and acrsoft cab. (this is just to completely remove acrsoft or picturemail because the next cab installs it again.)
2. install cricket wap, mms and acrsoft cab

after installing i suggest you go to the start-settings-connections-connections. on the advanced tab under select networks make sure that network management has the cricket settings set. if not change it to cricket. after changing this and clicking ok it takes you back the connections window. i recommend to once again click on select networks just to verify that your cricket settings is set. sometimes the firt settings tend to switch to "my isp" if it does then change it to cricket. after this nothing changes.

afte your cricker settings is set under connections. open opera or ie and it will prompt you for your username and password.

username: your10digitnumber@mycricket.com
e.g: 1234567890@mycricket.com

password: cricket

make sure you check the option that says "save password"

after this your cricket wap, mms works flawless.

thank you to everyone who found these cabs and to the persons who put the cabs together. i simply found it and have it saved on my computer. in no way this is my work. just helping.

Does this allow Cricket to fully function on MightyRom or any other rom, or do I need the Cricket Rom Provided on the first post. I have MightyRom flashed and tried both of these cabs. Nothing seems to work. I am ready to give up. It seems i am able to send Picture mail, but I am not able to recieve it. And the internet is not working. Before I didn't have Internet then I added it to my plan. Do you suppose I need to call cricket to refresh my account? Either way I feel like giving up. I use MightyRom6 because it states in there first post that its compatible with Cricket, but nothing has worked.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

It works on mighty rom 6. I have used it with it until yesterday. I now have energy rom. I can also send and receive. Under your settings under connections does it say cricket. Check for that first.
