Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

Flashing is an addiction, I have probably spent more time flashing and tweaking than actually using the damn thing for what its suppose to be used for.

Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

I've done it (flashed) more recently, i guess to just reassure myself that what i already have, is plenty good. Not sure if that makes sense or not, but ive always gone back to my original setup. Custom roms have been very nice, but maybe im just so used to stock, i can't break away. Maybe im just too impatient. I put months of work into the stock rom, so when i flash, i don't have enough energy of free time to customize again. Hope some of that made sense

Cool Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

I definately agree with everyone here that flashing is an addiction but it also is a way to show off how fast your touch pro and more responsive it is compare to stock. Also, where I work there are about 90% of people who don't know about this so this is my way to show off my TP is better than theirs. lol!!!!!

Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

Flashin keeps me from buyng a new phone everytime one comes out if it wasnt for these creative chefs in here i would probably go crazy. Its neat when people hthey have the same phone you have just to find out that my phone has/does way more things. Its amazes them. I dont take credit becase i cant figure out buildos sometimes but this and other sites will remain my secret until they learn to google search. Besides most of the people that admire my phone options would be the ones that come on and ask how to sign into this website if you see where im going.

We are the Borg. Lower your Phone and surrender your ROM. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your Phone will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

I think the stock Touch Pro ROM (speaking about Sprint) gets a bad rap... perhaps it's from the stock Mogul ROMs. Yes the Mogul stock stunk but the TP stock is actually usable.
It actually works pretty well esp when you implement alot of the well-known tweaks.

Yes, flashing can be quite addictive but it can be quite time consuming... My motto is, once you get it to your liking, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
