What causes Freeze Issues when Going to Start... Settings?

I had a perfectly good ROM and as usual I flashed it to try stuff out... and now no matter what i do

I can't seem to get in to Start... Settings...

Anyone know what causes this freeze issue!? it's pretty annoying!

I've tried 2 different SYS versions and no Go...

I've only seen that once with the 2nd 20771 XIP.
cooked a new ROM the same with only the 20764 XIP and it's bubble gum and candy.

ODD... because my 20771 was solid,

and 21028 was also... but I don't know why it stopped working...

I am now ripping out my custom OEMs 1 by 1 to figure this out..

VERY annoying

I have loaded mayby 4 roms in the past that had various amounts of delay when clicking into start/settings...
I use that as one of my tests to note the speed of the rom.

When I say FREEZE, I mean it locks up...

What you are referring to is Windows Mobile taking time locating Recent Programs due to it's icons not being cached.

I'm talking about once the Settings Page appears, I'm locked up and forced to Restart. I can't ever change any settings...
