I do it, because I like trying out new things, hell I'm running the beta version of Windows 7 at the moment...

It's more of an addiction for me, (isn't there a 12 step group for flashing addiction), like RFA or something?

Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

For its a no brainer to UPGRADE the Stock ROM to a COOKED ROM, but you really, really, really have to do research and try different ROM's to see what you are looking for and the possible bugs that some cooked ROM's have. Since the Mogul ROM's the TP ROM's seem to have less bugs. I recently upgraded to Mighty's 4.11 and I can say the ROM is perfect. I added about 15-20 of cab's for my personal preference but I can say that my battery life is better, almost no soft resets, everything is quicker and faster, I get the sliding keyboard sound like I had on the Mogul, I get Touch Pro apps and interface with some programs, when I type a name in my contacts with the keypad it doesn't dial a phone number like on the SPRINT Stock ROM. I am probably leaving out some other perks of the Mighty 4.11 ROM but its was well worth it and I wish I would have flashed earlier.

Thanks....I actually missed the integrated sliding sounds on 4.11 which is why I went back after I used 4.12 for a day, I found a cab with HTC Album, and I don't use MS Exchange/Outlook so I am good for now. I guess I could use Smartphone Tracker, would hate to need it and not have it than to have it and not needed it..

The economy sucks and flashing my phone costs less than crack.

Re: Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??

alright guys...I'm DONE! I QUIT, it's over...I'M PISSED!!!~
i'm done upgrading.
last night i upgrade my phone, today i got the number of this amazingly Hot girl. later in the day i installed a program that required me to hard reset my phone. i didn't have the chance to save my numbers.....now what?

i'm getting an iphone. i will say this now, even though i never accepted this...The iphone is better than any of this good-for-nothing-unreliable-pieces of junk-so.called-Touch Pro/touch diamond/touch whatever~windows offers.
