Why upgrade a ROM if Phone is working great ??
 

I have been flashing many new Roms since Mogul and even on Touch Pro. Some Roms where pretty good and some had problems. I had upgraded even my phone is working great so my question is how many people are there who do this ? I want to know why you upgrade ? I am looking for the Rom that is better then the previous Rom. How about You ??? ( of course we need to upgrade from stock Rom but I am talking about upgrade from one of the best ROM to new Rom.)

it's a disease! but seriously there are a lot of advantages ive seen from these cooked roms to stock. battery life, speed and less bloatware. with my ppc6800 it gave me gps that wasnt available stock from alltel.

this question has been asked many times before. to each, the answer is this... if your phone is working great / to you liking, dont bother. Most upgrade by addiction. Some upgrade to get rid of bloatware and increase speed. Some want more stability. Some want it ALL. The closest you can get to ALL is to load the erice kitchen and cook away. If you want something LOADED with stuff, i think the KK rom is more in that realm. In any case, if you are happy with what you have... stick with it. If you always want better, you will NEVER stop cooking.

I don't know if "better" is the word I would use, I just like to see the different features that each one has to see which one I prefer. Some of them are faster, some have more built-in apps, etc. With so many options and no Kitchen updates for the newer systems, it's trial and error for me.

Lots of reasons to keep flashing Roms even though the one your using works fine...

For one most cooks will update all their included OEMs to latest release and it's a lot easier to flash the rom than to find all the updated cabs and install individually...

I don't really say what I do is stick with a particular ROM but more like finding a good cook and sticking with it...
Right now the MightyRom is the preferred rom...Has a little more in it than I need but is as solid as a rock...

i upgrade wit Roms because i know that my carrier will place all kinds of bloat on it, with roms and kitchens you get variety to make your phone personal, like building your own light saber if you will, you customize it and make it your own, with your prefferences, faster , more programs, you enable it to do what it should, you push it's limits and if you crash and burn.....just start over, learn from your mistakes and try again to make it perfect, then we have amazing chefs who offer up great selections and still even then you can tweak it to your liking, they spend there time out of passion for what they like to do just so we, the lurkers, the noobs and even VIP's can enjoy the work and for mere thanks (and occasional donation if you are so inclined) but all in all, we flash because we want to get the best out of our phone, the very device that connects us to the world around us in the palm of your hand. plus it makes for a great conversation piece because it makes you look super cool with your buddies who still run stock lol.

I upgrade because I can't leave well enough alone. Its gotten so bad that if two days go by without a new rom interesting me, I just do a clear storage and start fresh with the existing rom i'm using. I also do it because its free. My other addition, RC helicopters, is far far from free.

uuuum yeah i would say yes simply because it's possible to make more of our devices and we take it upon ourselves to do just that. why settle for less when the option is out there and available to anyone brave enough to try right??
